3. Summary / Scope of Work (required): This document describes the Implementation


Services for performing a swap consisting of removing of existing RBS and installing Ericsson
RBS 6000 cabinet. This document required as guideline when doing activity. In general,
person in-charge and detail step how to install, should refer to Testing and Commissioning
manual and actual condition

4. Target Audience (required): NSIAM service team

5. Impact Assessment (required): Should take less than 4-5 hours with minimal service impact
and low risk.

6. Requirements, Assumptions, & Best Practices (where applicable): Since the activities will be
done in customer’s existing site, the following procedure must be completed

1. Inform customer’s PIC / OMC before entering the site

2. Report to customer’s PIC / OMC if anything unusual happen

3. Aware to procedure for entering the live site network

4. Check material completeness. Installation team and engineer must check


completeness of the materials that will be installed. The list of material for each site
is provided by Engineering section. If any deficiency found, it must be reported to
Ericsson supervisor.

5. Record existing configuration and alarm. The configuration and alarm must be
recorded via Moshell and RBS Element Manager.
7. Pre-check Procedures(required): Before start swap and installation, the following items
must be completed:

1. Site survey is a must before change out existing RBS and site survey

report must cover detail information related with site condition. It must

accurate to reduce integration failure, minimize additional material and

minimize fallback possibility

2. Permit letter and site key already secured

3. All supporting document already completed

4. Installation Team leader and engineer must bring Ericsson installation

standard tools and have good knowledge or familiar with both

equipments. And also has certified by Ericsson team (ASP training).

5. The CDR (Cell Design Record) is available

6. Site Installation Document (SID), if any, is available

7. Material have been received on site and completed.

8. NIW for swap activity already approved

9. Notify RNC/Integration Team for schedule activity

10. Configuration script must be available

11. Fall Back Scenario must be available

12. Test calls before swap activities already performed

13. Transport/Transmission is ready for 42 Mbps.

9. Backout Procedures (required): In case of problem occurred in the change out activity which
prevents the new RBS to operate normally or functionality test NOT OK, all related party
involved in the activity must perform troubleshooting until the agreed down time limit is
achieved. The old RBS must be back in service before the down time limit is achieved. RBS
fall back action is performed when the new RBS failed to operate normally.
10. Post-Check Procedures (required): Before leaving the sites, ensure that the following action
have been performs

1. Make sure no alarm appears at the RBS.

2. Record RBS configuration (log file / kget file)

3. Tidy the site and leave it in the same condition as you found it.

4. Lock all doors to the site.

5. Report/contact Ericsson supervisor.

6. Report/contact Customer PIC.
