Process
Ignite (3 – 5 minutes)

Group activity
Learners begin the lesson by playing friendship Chain Game
Each child is given a sticky note. On their sticky, they will write the name of their friend
and one good quality they have. Those slips then get glued together to form a chain, which
can be hung in the classroom.

Ideate ( 15 – 20 minutes)
(Guided instruction and guided practice with differentiation)

Teacher introduces the topic, ‘Ali and his friends’


Student read the information about Ali’s friends from the text book page no 107.

Group activity
Learners will use the sticky notes to write description about Ali’s friend and their friend,
stick it on a chart paper under each column. They will write about their culture,food
habits and the activities they like to do.
They may refer to the Text book page no 107.
A list of key words will be placed on each table.

Ping Joey Your Friend

TDO: Colour and say the names of Ali’s friends. Draw their friend’s picture.

Consolidate (8 – 10 minutes)
Think in pairs
Learners draw a Venn diagram and write the similarities and differences between them.
Plenary: (3 – 5 minutes)
One team member from each group will ask questions to the group.
