Activities to do Warm-up

-Greet the students and establish rapport.

“Good morning, everyone! How are you today?”

-Elicit answer.

Lead-in activity: Question and answer (Approximately 4 min)

-Lead into the activity and ask some introductory questions

“So, everyone, how can you find information online?

How do you know if the information is accurate or reliable? How can


you organize and manage the information you find?” etc.

-Elicit the answers.


-Move on to the introduction.

Introduce the topic (Approximately 6 min)

-Write the name of the topic on the board.

“Today, we will be looking into a topic that is important for our


education and daily life. As you can see on the board, it is called
information literacy.”

-Ask them their ideas about the topic.

“Do you have any ideas about the topic?”

-Elicit the answers.

-Explain briefly what information literacy is.

“Information literacy is a set of skills that requires people to be aware


of when they need information and to be able to find, evaluate, and use
it efficiently.”

-Elicit if there is any idea or question for now.

Present Vocabulary: Board (Approximately 6 min)

-Write the vocabulary on the board.

“Now, please take a look at these words and guess their meaning.”

-Elicit the answers.

-Write the short definitions of the words on the board.

-Ask them to analyze the words and their definitions.

-After giving them a couple of minutes, go over the words shortly while
pronouncing them.

Activity 1-Edpuzzle (Approximately 10 min)

-While preparing the video, introduce the activity.

“So, now we will be watching a video about information literacy.


Throughout the video there will be questions for you to answer. Let’s
watch it together.”

-Make sure they are ready and start the video.

-Whenever a question appears, give them 1 min to think about it,

“What can be the answer to this question?”

-Elicit their answer and write it on the smartboard.

-Complete the activity.

-Move on to the next activity.

Activity 2- True-False game Wordwall (Approximately 10 min)

-Introduce the activity while giving them the link to the activity via
Google Classroom.

“Now that you have ideas about our topic, we will play a true-false
game. Please click the link shared with you in Google Classroom.”

-Instruct them to start the game.

-At the end of the game, elicit if there is any question.

-Move on to the next activity.
