We are currently faced with the trend of the growing importance of artificial
intelligence (AI);
Precisely, artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming more important in various fields and
areas such as medicine, transportation, banking, and entertainment (Pedamkar, 2023).
Artificial intelligence is the ability of machines to perform tasks that normally require
human intelligence, such as reasoning, decision-making, or problem-solving (Coursera,
2023). Artificial intelligence (AI) can make our lives easier and better in many ways, such
as automating tasks, optimizing processes, and innovating services. However, there are
also some potential downsides to consider, like ethical, social, and legal issues that could
arise. To use AI wisely and ethically, it is important to learn more about it and its potential
impacts, both good and bad.
What effect do you expect this trend to have on your future work life?
Which skills do you want to acquire in this master to remain a sought-after employee in
the future? Providing answers to these questions is the goal of the student Zabiullah Amiri,
as part of Entrepreneurial Trend and Technology Scouting at the University of Applied
Science Neu-Ulm.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing every industry and organization, and the
finance sector is no exception (Stöckle, 2023). As an internal auditor with experience in
the field, I can attest that in the near future, the auditing field will tolerate a significant
transformation due to the increased use of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation. This
technological advancement will bring both positive and negative impacts on auditors’
roles and responsibilities. On the one hand, AI and automation will enable auditors to
process vast amounts of data more efficiently and accurately, allowing them to identify
potential risks and opportunities more quickly. This will in the long run lead to a reduction
in business risk and improved data quality. On the other hand, AI and automation will
replace some traditional auditing tasks, such as data entry, validation, and reporting,
which will free up auditors to focus on higher-level tasks that require human judgment
and expertise (Fedyk et al., 2022).
However, the shift towards AI-driven auditing will also create new challenges for auditors.
They will need to be proficient in a range of technology tools and techniques and be able
to apply them effectively to audit engagement such as;
 1- Cloud-based Audit Tools; enable auditors to work remotely and collaborate more
effectively with their clients.
2- Blockchain Technology; mostly, used for supply chain management and financial
transactions and enables auditors to increase transparency in the auditing process
3- Big data Analytics; enables auditors to analyze large volumes of data and identify
trends and patterns that may not be immediately apparent (Illumeo platform, 2023).
How would you use the skills we covered in this class to create your own start-up?
Barnaa Dental Complex is a leading dental organization that was founded in 2020 by Zabi
Amiri and Zabi Anwari, two cousins who had a vision of transforming a collapsing clinic
into a world-class dental center. located at 16th Street, Wazir Akbar Khan, opposite the
British embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.
But after the fall of the Afghanistan system in 2021, all the businesses faced a collapse
because the experts left the country and our clinic was no exception so based on methods
and techniques we learned from entrepreneurial trends and technology scouting lectures
we Identified various sources to help us for recognizing micro, macro, and megatrends
therefore, we used TrendOne mega trend map as a source for roadmap trend research
(TrendOne, 2023). Additionally, we used ITonics insight, Social media, Google search,
and expert interview methods (Trend Scouting Methods, Slides 11,12,18,23) to screen
the environment for weak signs, find our customer segments, industry challenges, and
opportunities, and technological improvement in the dental industry to lead us to micro
trend. After collecting the data, we described them as follows:

Also, based on quest lecture technology scouting, which was prepared by Christina – an
ambitious Inventor, and delivered by our lecturer Dr. Antje Wild, I gained insight into the
process of identifying new technologies and their relevance to solving clinical problems.
This involved defining the problems, assessing their relevance, and then using the
appropriate technology to address it.
Upon researching the clinic’s tasks, I discovered that the clinic was facing significant
challenges, including a lack of an effective dental management system, inadequate dental
insurance coverage, and the absence of a standard dental laboratory despite the
expertise of our clinic dentists. However, the adoption of new technologies posed several
challenges, including the high cost of acquisition and maintenance, the need for staff
training and adaptation, and the integration with existing systems and processes. These
challenges required careful planning, budgeting, communication, collaboration, and
innovation.
To address these challenges, we developed and implemented a successful Dental
Management Information System (MIS) for Barnaa Dental Clinic to solve the problem of
weak dental management solutions. Additionally, we launched Royal Dental Insurance,
which provides comprehensive dental insurance coverage, including regular check-ups,
family coverage, long-term savings, and royal-express options.
To differentiate ourselves from our competitors, we established the largest and most
standard laboratory in Britain standard, Da Vinci Dental Lab will provide high-quality
dental services throughout Afghanistan, including Zirconium, CAD CAM, Invisalign, and
other types of dental construction.
This will significantly improve the quality of dental care in the region. Doctors and other
clinics across Afghanistan can now access standardized services, ensuring their patients
receive comparable care to that of other nations.
In our most recent development, we Implemented an automatic email API system for
managing appointments in our clinic. This system enables us to streamline sending and
receiving emails, including feedback, transactional messages, confirmations, reminders,
and invoices. By leveraging this technology, we have improved the efficiency and
organization of our appointment management process, resulting in a more seamless
experience for both our staff and patients.
Now, Barnaa Dental Complex offers comprehensive dental insurance coverage,
exceptional dental treatments, and state-of-the-art dental management solutions. With a
commitment to quality, accessibility, and innovation, Barnaa Dental Complex aims to
enhance smiles and improve the lives of both patients and dental professionals, fostering
healthier communities and a brighter dental future.
