Amigurumi Pattern By:
Hi,
First off, thank you for purchasing this pattern.
I hope it will bring you as much joy as it does to me.
I decided to write this little guide to help with some
stitches & techniques that you might not be familiar with.
STITCHES
SLIP KNOT
1.) Start by looping the tail end of your yarn over 2 fingers, holding it in place with the thumb.
2.) You will then loop the working yarn over the 2 fingers and hold it in place with the thumb.
Making sure they cross at the bottom.
3.) Pull the first loop over the second one. Insert your hook and tighten.

CHAIN (Ch)
1.) Start with a slip knot. You will then yarn over with your hook and pull through. You will follow
the pattern to see how many times you need to chain.
2.) You will usually work into the second ch from hook when working around the chain. See
specific pattern.
3.) Some patterns will suggest you use the back bumps for a neater finish. It is a bit fiddly but gives a
nice effect.

3.) Adjust the lenght of your loop. This will be specified in each pattern. & will count from the
fabric to the tip of the loop. NOT the circumfrance of the loop.
4.) Place the loop forward and hold with your thumb.
5.) You will then insert your hook into the next stitch and single crochet. Unless stated in the
pattern. Some patterns have back to back loops.

COLOR CHANGE
1.) Insert hook into the st before you change color. Yarn over and pull through the st. You should
have 2 loops on your hook.
2-3.) Yarn over with the new color you will be using & finish the st.
4.) Continue with this new yarn color until desired. You could either cut off the old color yarn and
tie off or run it through the back of your work if changing back to it.

1.) Start by yarning over & inserting your hook into the stitch that will have the pc & pull through.
2.) You will have 3 loops on hook. Yarn over & pull through first 2 loops. Yarn over once more & pull
through the remaining 2 loops.
3.) Now make 4 more dc. In total you should have 5. Right before you finish the 5th dc (when you have 2
loops on hook before pulling thru) change to the mid tone pink then pull through (see the 2nd & 3rd pics
for guidance).
4.) Once you have the (pink loop) pulled through take your hook out & insert it into the 1st dc you made.
(see the3rd picture for reference).
5.) Once the hook is inside the 1st dc, insert your hook in the last loop you pulled up (on the 5th st) & pull
through both loops. Push the stitch to the out side. (it will naturally want to fall through the back.

2.) Insert your hook into the stitch you want to start your slip stitch root and pull the slip knot
through.
3.) Yarn over and pull through the stitch and the loop on your hook.
4.) Follow the pattern to know how many sl sts you need to make. Once done theuy should look
like this.
