Mechanics for Fertilizer Identification

1. This contest shall be participated and open to all different VLP registered chapters from
the College of Agriculture Department and External Campuses.
2. The participant must be a bonafide student except second courser or earner of College of
Agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, Food Sciences, Antipas Campus, Katipunan Campus,
Datu Montawal Campus and Pikit Campus.
3. She/he must represent the student chapters to which s/he is an active member.
4. Each chapter is allowed to have two (2) participants (male & female or male & male or
female & female).
5. Participants of each chapter will provide at least 10 types of fertilizers.
6. Participants must be properly registered to the CAAFFS Student Body Organization
(CAAFFSSBO) on before May 6, 2024. (Late registrants are considered only those who
are from External Campuses).
7. The specimens that will be used will be provided by all participating Teams and will be
subject to draw lots.
8. The contest will be in the time pressure.
9. The Chairperson and members decision shall be considered final and not subject for
argument.
10. Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd place only), the chairperson and members shall break the tie by
means of another round of Competition.

1. This contest shall be on “inter chapter” competition which is open to all student societies that
are specifically under the College of Agriculture and its departments, and external campuses.
2. The participants must be a bonafide student except second courser or earner of College of
Agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, Food Sciences, Antipas Campus, Katipunan Campus.
3. Participants shall belong to the same chapter to which they are active member.
4. Members are composed of seven (7) participants a combination of male & female.
5. Time frame would be 7 minutes presentation. ( 5 minutes preparation)
6. A deduction of 1 point per 1 minute excess from the overall points (if in case the delivery of
the problem exceeds seven minutes as required).
7. Topic is by draw lots (participating team will give at least 5 types).
8. Participants must be properly registered to the CAAFFS Student Body Organization
(CAAFFSSBO) on before May 6, 2024.(Late registrants are considered only those who are
from External Campuses).
9. Winner (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shall be determined based on the scores given by the judges. In case of
a “tie” (for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places only), the judges shall break the “tie” by means of votes.
10. Judges’ decision shall be considered final and not subject to argument.

Guideline and Mechanics for Animal Feed Formulation

1. This contest shall be participated and open to all different VLP registered chapters from
the College of Agriculture Department and External Campuses.
2. The participants must be a bonafide student except second courser or earner of College of
Agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, Food Sciences, Antipas and Campus, Katipunan
Campus.
3. She/he must represent the student chapters to which s/he is an active member.
4. Each chapter is allowed to have two (2) participants (male & female or male & male or
female & female).
5. Participants must be properly registered to the CAAFFS Student Body Organization
(CAAFFSSBO) on before May 6, 2024.(Late registrants are considered only those who
are from External Campuses).
6. Participants will be given the same exact problem set by the coordinators for the
Competition.
7. Phones will not be allowed to be used in computations; only scientific calculators are
allowed to be utilized by the participants.
8. There will be only 2 hours allotted time for the participants to finish their calculations. In
case time will not be enough, the chairperson and members will decide if given extension
or not.
9. Solutions for different nutrient adjustment must be shown.
10. The Feed Formulation Method to be used in the event will only be (Pearson Square) and
the Modified Pearson Square method.
11. The winner will be based on whoever is the fastest to finish the computation with no
errors. If there is any error, the participants will be given a chance to adjust his/her
computations.
12. Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd places only), the chairperson and members shall break the tie at the
lowest price per kilogram or as the board decides.
13. The chairperson and members’ decision shall be considered final and not subject to
argument.

4. Performers are composed of 15-30 dancers & a combination of male and female.
5. Choice of material (music) must be the sole responsibility of the participating chapters.

7. Participants will perform using 2nd level of Cheer stunts, moves and Routines.

students/chapter. It should be an Original Pilipino Music (OPM) English or Tagalog.
7. Musical accompaniment must be a “minus one” in cd or usb/memory stick only, this is to

1. This contest shall be on “inter chapter” competition which will be open to all student
chapter that are specifically under the College of Agriculture. Agribusiness, Forestry,
Food Sciences and external campuses.
2. The participant must be a bonafide student except second courser or earner of College of
Agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, Food Sciences, Antipas Campus, Katipunan Campus,
Datu Montawal Campus and Pikit Campus.
3. She/he must represent the student chapter to which s/he is an active member.
4. Each chapter is allowed to have one (1) participant – male or female.
5. The contestants must wear their chapters’ uniform during the contest.
6. The participants shall have the freedom to choose the theme/topic of his/her painting,
provided that it is an original work.
7. Materials to be utilized (1 pc. White cartolina and pastel colors) shall be provided by the
students/chapter participating.
8. Participants must be properly registered to the CAAFFS Student Body Organization
(CAAFFSSBO) on before May 6, 2024. (Late registrants are considered only those who
are from External Campuses).
9. Board of judges shall be composed of at least three (3) reliable, competent and
knowledgeable individuals
10. Winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shall be determined based on the scores given by the judges. In
case of a “tie” (for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places only), the judges shall break the “tie” by means
of votes.
11. The Judges’ decision shall be considered final and not subject to argument.
12. The judges shall follow these criteria.

Mechanics for ESSAY MAKING

5. Essay must be restricted. The topic will be provided on 31th July, few minutes before the
competition starts.
6. The participant has the freedom to choose whether s/he will make use of narration,
exposition, argumentative and opinionated, or a combination of any of these.
7. The judge will prepare the topics to be drown by the chairman.
8. Participants shall be provided with one (1) hour of completing the task.
9. The written product shall not be less than five hundred (500) words and must not exceed
six hundred (600) words. 1 point deduction/sentence exceeds.

Mechanics for EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEECH

1. This contest shall be on “inter chapter” competition which will be open to all student
chapter that are specifically under the College of Agriculture. Agribusiness, Forestry,
Food Sciences and external campuses.
2. The participant must be a bonafide student except second courser or earner of College of
Agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, Food Sciences, Antipas Campus, Katipunan Campus,
Datu Montawal Campus and Pikit Campus.
3. She/he must represent the student chapter to which s/he is an active member.
4. Each chapter is allowed to have one (1) participant – male or female.
5. Participants must be properly registered to the CAAFFS Student Body Organization

6. Each chapter will be preparing two (2) proposition that will be drawn by the participants
for exhortation and deportment.
7. During the competition, the participant shall be given two (2) minutes to prepare for the
speech, and another three (3) minutes for the delivery/speech. At two (2) minutes of
delivery the time keeper shows the placard as warning: the next participants will draw the
topic and preparation for 2 minutes.

8. In case the speaker goes beyond the three-minute time allocation, one (1) point deduction
per minute shall be imposed by the LitMus committee. The point/s shall be deducted from
the overall score of the speaker.
