This procedure applies to Discovery RF180 configuration only.

The purpose of this procedure is to describe the Tagout/Lockout procedure for the system (shown below),
the PDB and the EMI filter.

NOTE: This Lockout Tagout procedure is for the Discovery RF180 system only. Others systems could be
installed in the same room, and have a specific LOTO procedure.

DISCOVERY RF180 SYSTEM – LOTO PROCEDURE

CONSIGNATION

For mechanical consignments: see Service Manual

1. Inform users

a. Inform all persons you are about to shutdown equipment

2. Identify energies

Locate the electrical power distribution box located in the examination room and visualize status of all
magnetic switches:

3. Switch off equipment

a. Switch off the table and the generator by pushing down « OFF » button (01) on table remote
console.

b. Switch off the Image processor following the switch off procedure:

Turn in OFF position the line switch at the Image processor cabinet when you are in archive/worklist
screen. Wait for the full automatic shutdown.

4. Isolate all energies

a. Disconnect arrival of electrical main power at all unit by pressing the OFF button in/on the power
distribution box.

5. Turn in OFF the UPS unit pressing the OFF button at the unit front side:

Remove the line input and output from the UPS unit, set OFF the main line switch S1 at the power
distribution box (Main line switch).

6. Lock out energies

Install LOTO Tools at the electrical power distribution box located in the examination room:

a. Put Red Padlock with Red Label on plug at the front side of the power distribution box as shown in
the following figure:

7. Drain residual energies

a. Wait minimum 5 minutes to discharge energy.

8. Verify absence of energies

a. At the back side of the UPS unit remove the OUTPUT cables to the OPERA D4000RF image
processor.
b. At the rear side of the Table tower check that the line live lamp is OFF (red square). Using a DVM
check absence of energy at the table line input terminals as shown in the following figure:

c. At the generator cabinet remove the line protection and check, using a DVM, absence of energy at
the line terminals as shown in the following figures:

WARNING: Wear arc flash Personal Protective Equipment as required by

local procedures.

ATTENTION: Discharge HT cables on ground before usage.

NOTE: When the system is consigned without any power, all the
movements are blocked.

DECONSIGNATION

The progress of removal of LOTO procedure is described in the following flowchart and is detailed in the
steps below.

1. Remove Tools

a. Remove all tools properly

2. Put back covers

a. Put back all dismounted covers

3. Plug back the cables

a. Connect behind the UPS the input and output cables coming from the Poxer Box and the
Digital System

4. Inform users

a. Inform users before power on system

4. Verify room clearance

a. Verify no one is to close to system before switch on

5. Verify system is in Off position

a. Verify all commands are in neutral position by pushing on “OFF” button on console

6. Remove LOTO tools

a. Remove Lockout tools used

b. Set ON the main line switch at the power distribution box.

c. Turn in ON the UPS unit pressing the ON button at the unit front side:

d. Enable arrival of electrical main power at all unit by pressing the ON button in the power distribution
box.

7. Switch on equipment

a. Switch on the table and the generator by pushing down « ON » button (02) on table remote console
for 2 seconds.

b. Turn in ON position the line switch at the Image processor cabinet.

8. Finalization

Verify correct operation of the equipment.
