COURSE TILE: INTRODUCTION TO THE BIBLE

1.0 General Introduction.

The main purpose of this course is to familiarize with the Scripture as the primary source of
Christianity and the first written reference of Christian life all over the world.

It will also help the leaners to explain the life of God as He is Himself and His relationship with
mankind as His creatures.

This course also equips learners with principles and tools that will enable them to appreciate the
place of God and the place of man in their lives. This course makes known God’s eternal plan for
all men and women, His encounter with various people and how they cooperated with God’s plan
in history.

It also equips the learners with skills on how to overcome life challenges. It opens the mind of the
students and heart to reflect on its stories together for a better understanding of their lives.

This course should be an integral part of their education. It completes their knowledge and gives
them life.

According to St. Jerome, ignorance of the Scripture is the ignorance of God. Ignorance of God, is
ignorance of our identity, our neighbours, of the purpose of their lives in this world.
