5. Course information
a. Course objectives
This course aims to:
- Calculate the electrolyte solution’s fundamental parameters;
- Calculate parameters which is related to the electrolyte solution’s transport phenomena;
- Apply knowledge about electrodes, Gavinic and eelectrolytic cells to calculate
thermodynamic parameters and equilibrium constant of electrochemical reactions, solubility,
pH;
- Describe and explain electrolysis, electrochemical corrosion and electrochemical power;
apply Faraday’s law to calculate parameters related electrolysis.
- Upon the electrochemistry’s knowledge, the learning students be able to study on further the
modern electrochemistry, their research and career.
b. Course description
The subject goal is to provide students a solid electrochemical knowledge: Properties of
electrolyte solutions, electrical conductivity of electrolytes, chemical potential, activity and
activity coefficient, electrodes and electrolytic cells, practical application of electrochemistry.
c. Pre-course (A), Prerequisite (B), Parallel (C)
General Chemistry (2104610) (A)
d. Other requirements
Student are asked to attend at least 80% of class time, complete all tests, and assignments.

6. Course learning outcomes (CLO)

After completing this course, learners will be able to:
CLOs Course learning outcomes PLO
