COVID-19 Pandemic
COVID-19 is a new strain of infectious virus that has had a catastrophic effect on
every individual within the short time it was first detected (Quisao et al., 2021). This
led to the pandemic in which millions of people are affected within each country.
Although communities faced hardships, this specific occurrence had made the
people’s resolves much stronger and they once again awakened their tenacity through
enduring whatever challenges the virus brought. Through the combined efforts of
experts from all around the world, the pandemic is now steadily receding.

2. Poverty
The lack of the capability to provide for oneself and their family is but a
definition of poverty. It is visible in many different ways. It can be seen on the streets.
In the faces of the children. In a parent, working hard for but a small sum of cash. In a
house made from scrap materials. Although poverty is such a big problem, it still
continues to exist because equality in the economy cannot be met, not all people can
be rich. A quick solution may be for people to recognize the value of their own
currencies so that all people would be wiser in using them.

3. Climate Change
The climate is an ever-changing precedent. Our acts, contributing to this change
affects not just us, but the whole ecosystem in we are a part of. From burning trash,
smoke from various vehicles, and to the wastes of factories, all of these make a big
effect to how varied the change in the climate becomes. If what we do harms the
climate, then its likewise that the change in weather will cause harm to us as well. So
it can be said that doing the opposite of these activities will bring a positive effect to
the climate.

4. Gender Inequality/Discrimination
The discrimination between genders is still continued in the current era. Even
though acceptance is what is being promoted, discrimination will still exist as long as
there is even a single person that opposes the idea of one individual doing
inappropriate things that doesn’t fit their gender. It is better to just mind ourselves and
let everyone live their lives for it is theirs and not ours.

5. Freedom of Speech and Expression

The ability to speak one’s mind and the freedom to convey one’s emotions is a
trait that not everyone is granted with. In our current civilization, older people tend to
not listen to the ideas of the youth due to their mindset that “since I’m older and
experienced more things than you, I know better” which destroys the confidence and
imaginative capabilities of the children. If things continue like this, the possibility of
exploring new and innovative ideas will not sprout. It is imperative that harmony
between both speakers is visible in order for them to share their opinions as freely as
they can.
