Acknowledgement:
I express sincere gratitude to thank those individuals who made it possible
for the completion of this assignment. First and foremost, I would like to
thank God for giving me the strength to complete my study. The successful
completion of this would not have been possible without the assistance and
cooperation of my parents, group members and friends. I would like to give a
distinct thank you to my former subject teacher, Mrs.Groves, for the guidance
during the course of this project.
Task 1
Research Questions:
Task 1b
The topic my group is researching for our school based assessment is “ what are
some of the social issues caused by unemployment among the youth in my
community. Some of these problems are as follow : poor standard of living,
financial hardship, trouble providing for one’s family etc. The reason why we
choose this topic has to do with the fact that we all have seen unemployed
individuals and how hard it is for them to get by day to day whether it be
individuals from our own community or individuals on the streets. So in choosing
this topic we hope to dwell deeper into the root of this problem in the hopes of
finding a solution and gain some insight to a problem that has long plagued our
world and communities.
Task 3:
Method of Investigation:
For this Social Studies School Based Assessment the researcher will be doing
a survey in the form of a questionnaire for the method of investigation. A
questionnaire is a list of questions or items used to gather data from
respondents about their attitude, experience or opinions which should be
answered on the sheet and returned to the researcher. The researcher chose
this method because it is the most suitable method for this research topic.
This questionnaire would also be more convenient for both the respondents
and the researcher because they are relatively easy to analyze and it is quick
and easy to collect.
