Project Title “Project Ning Ning”

Project Description We are passionate about helping street children through literacy
programs in our community, we believe the word "Ning Ning" can be a
powerful way to encourage and inspire these children.

At its core, "Ning Ning" means to emit or reflect light, and literacy skills
can serve as a light that illuminates the mind and opens new worlds of
understanding. By developing their reading and writing skills, street
children can gain access to new information, express themselves
creatively, and confidently communicate their thoughts and ideas.
Project Objectives (a) The first objective is to actively participate in organizations that
provide resources and support to street children. By
volunteering our time and effort, we can directly Contribute to
improving the lives of these children.
(b) The second objective is to raise awareness about the plight of
the street and educate others about the importance of helping
them. By spreading the word and involving others in our cause,
we can create a larger impact and more children in need.
(c) The third objective is to prioritize our studies while also
seeking out opportunities for personal and academic growth.
By managing our time effectively and balancing our
communities, we can achieve our goals and positively impact
society.
What do you intend to
Accomplish in each week?
Week 2 Week 2 of the program will prioritize the Community Development
Centre in Barangay 388. We spent 2 hours cleaning the streets with
our whole block. This activity is a big help in the community and after
that the rest of our time we planned our weekly task using literacy
including reading and writing exercises, to enhance the vocabulary,
grammar, and writing skills of the children. The program will also teach
the children good manners, such as using polite language and being
respectful toward others. Warm-up exercises and storytelling sessions
will also be incorporated to promote creativity, improve listening skills,
and provide an enjoyable activity for the children. The objective is to
create an interactive learning environment that supports the children's
skills and development.
Week 3 During Week 3, the program will continue with literacy activities and
storytelling sessions while adding games and warm-up exercises to
help the children develop their social and motor skills. Additionally, the
children will be taught about proper waste disposal and the
importance of keeping their environment clean and healthy. The
overall objective is to create an interactive learning environment that is
enjoyable and motivating for the children, and to provide them with
new skills and knowledge that they can apply in their daily lives while
promoting social and environmental responsibility.
Week 4 The objective for Week 4 is to help older street children (9-12 years
old) improve their communication skills and confidence through a
structured literacy program, which includes speaking, listening, and
writing activities. The program will also incorporate hygiene lessons
and a spelling bee competition. Additionally, a session will be held to
educate the children about LGBTQ and encourage them to share their
stories and dreams to promote inclusivity and self-expression and also
a have a recap activity by asking questions.
Week 5 The organization's goal for Week 5 is to help street children aged 9 to
12 develop their communication skills and literacy abilities through
engaging programs. They will hold spelling bees, teach the children
how to make pots from recycled bottles, educate them on planting
trees, and incorporate fun games to develop social skills and
teamwork. The week will conclude with a recap activity to assess the
effectiveness of the program and make necessary adjustments for
future weeks. The organization aims to create a fun and educational
experience to equip the children with new skills and knowledge.
