Diphthongs: oy, oi, ou and ow.

In this module, you will demonstrate understanding of different listening


strategies to comprehend texts, usegrammatical structures of English to be able
to communicate effectively in oral and written forms and to use sentences and
paragraphs in expressing ideas.

This module was designed and written with you in mind. It is here to help you
master the English Language. The scope of this module permits it to be used in
many different learning situations. The language used recognizes the diverse
vocabulary level of learners. The lessons are arranged to follow the standard
sequence of the course. But the order in which you read them can be changed to
correspond with the textbook you are now using.
This module is all about:Words with Vowel Diphthongs: oi, oy, ou and ow.

Oil, voice and noisy are words with vowel diphthong /oi/.

Mouse, ground, shouted, pouting and mouth are words with vowel
diphthong /ou/. While, Sow and frowns are word with vowel diphthong
/ow.

Diphthong
 is a sound formed by combining two vowels in a single syllable.
 -the sound begins as one vowel sound and moves towards
