to the Guide to the services
provided by BC „MAIB” S.A.
within the framework of the activity through money remittance systems

Rules for using the Transfer2Card service


1. General provisions
1.1. The Rules for the use of the Transfer2Card service (hereinafter referred to as
“Rules”) are drawn up and approved for regulating the procedure for the use of the
Transfer2Card service.

1.2. These Rules represent a public offer for using the Transfer2Card service and are
addressed to all interested individuals.

2. Notions:
2.1. Bank - BC“MAIB”S.A. (hereinafter maib).

2.2. Money remittance – a payment service where funds are received from the payer
without the creation of a payment account in the name of the payer to be transferred
to the payee through money remittance systems.

2.3. Payer – person who gives a remittance order where there is no payment account.

2.4. Beneficiary – the payment cardholder to whom money remittances are transferred
via the Transfer2Card service.

2.5. Payment card – bankcard issued by maib in the name of the Holder in accordance
with the contract concluded with the bank on the issuance and use of cards.

2.6. Payment cardholder – individual - holder of the current account for payment card
operations.

2.7. Current account for payment card operations - bank account in MDL or foreign
currency, opened in the name of the cardholder, which reflects the payment card
operations.

2.8. Unique remittance identification code – a combination of letters, numbers or


symbols established by the payment service provider and used to make the
remittance.

2.9. SMS OTP (One Time Password) additional authentication – type of additional
authentication, whereby maib sends a one-time password to the customer's address

by SMS message to the phone number registered in maib's database and the
beneficiary enters this password into the service interface.

2.10. iFrame - HTML element that allows embedding an external web page in an HTML
document.

2.11. Remote service methods/channels - channels through which the Transfer2Card


service is available for access, the Bank's website, the MAIBank mobile application";

2.12. Transfer2Card service users – customers who access the T2C service
functionality in order to transfer money remittances to the payment card BC "MAIB
"S.A.;

2.13. Transfer2Card service (hereinafter - T2C service) – remote banking service, which
offers the possibility for remittance beneficiaries, holders of payment cards issued
by the Bank, to channel funds received through remittance systems directly to their
own card, through remote service methods/channels;

2.14. Remittance currency - the currency in which the remittance is sent.

2.15. Payment card currency - the currency in which the payee's payment card is issued.

3. Requirements for using the T2C service


3.1. In order to transfer the remittance via the T2C service, the payee must hold:

a) Active payment card issued by BC“MAIB”S.A.;

b) Unique identification code of the remittance;

c) Mobile phone (phone number that is registered in the bank's database,


exception for Zolotaya Korona);

d) Personal code of the beneficiary (IDNP of 13 digits of the identity card);

e) Device with Internet access.

4. How to access the T2C service


4.1. The T2C service is available to users by accessing functionality from the following
remote service methods/channels:

a) the bank's website www.maib.md (module "Payments and transfers" - icon

a) "MAIBank" mobile application (choose the card to which you want to receive
the transfer and select ,,International transfer to card" - for SRB Zolotaya
Korona, the service is currently available only on the Bank's website);

5. Steps for receiving remittances via T2C service (for SRB Zolotaya
Korona the steps are listed in Chapter 6)
By accessing the T2C service from the “MAIBank" application or from the website
www.maib.md, the following fields must be completed:

a) Type of remittance system (to be selected from the list);

b) Unique identification code of the remittance;

c) Amount of the remittance (the exact amount of the remittance must be


indicated without any deviation);

d) Remittance currency (EUR/USD/MDL - select from list);

e) Personal code of the beneficiary (IDNP of 13 digits of the identity card) - field
available only on the web page www.maib.md

f) maib card number (PAN mask - last 8 digits of the card number) - field
available only on the web page www.maib.md

5.1. A check mark must be ticked and will be displayed as an image (for precautionary
measures).

5.2. Full acceptance of these Rules is conditional upon ticking the option "I agree with
the Rules for the use of the T2C Transfer Service" when filling in the data for the
remittance release on the web page www.maib.md

5.3. Press the “Receive money”, at which stage the system will check the correctness of
the data entered:

a) the existence of remittances;

b) the amount and currency of the remittance according to the system data with
those entered by the beneficiary;

c) the personal data of the beneficiary as recorded in the Bank's database with
those received from the money remittance system.

5.4. If the data is entered correctly, the beneficiary will be directed to the remittance
confirmation screen.

5.5. If the system detects an error during validation, a message will be generated and
displayed on the screen.

5.6. For additional authentication, a one-time password will be sent by SMS to the
beneficiary's mobile phone, which will need to be entered in the “One-time password”
field. The beneficiary's mobile number is the number registered in the Bank's
database.

5.7. After entering the transaction confirmation code, the remittance amount will be
transferred directly to the payment card indicated by the beneficiary.

6. Stages of remittance receipt via T2C service - for SRB Zolotaya


Korona
By accessing the T2C service on the www.maib.md web page, the following steps will
be taken:

6.1. Select the type of remittance system - Zolotaya Korona;

6.2. Enter the mobile phone number in the window that will appear - iFrame Zolotaya
Korona, (this phone number does not have to be registered in the Bank's database,
but it is important that it corresponds to the one indicated by the payer when
executing the transfer). Zolotaya Korona will send a one-time password (OTP) to
this telephone number for authentication by SMS message;

6.3. In the next window -– which is a personal cabinet of the beneficiary in the Zolotaya
Korona system interface - the beneficiary will select the transfer available in the
system to be received;

6.4. In order to initiate the transfer, the beneficiary will enter the Name and Surname;

6.5. Enter the payment card number;

6.6. Confirm the remittance data by clicking on the "Receive money" button;

6.7. Zolotaya Korona will check the data entered by the client and display the information
window about the status of the transaction;

Note: The customer can also use the mobile application of Zolotaya Korona - Korona
Pay where he/she will follow the same steps indicated in points 6.1-6.6. There is also
the option for the customer to go to the Bank branches to receive the transfer.

7. Final provisions
7.1. If the currency of the remittance differs from the currency of the payee's payment
card, the funds shall be converted into the currency of the payee's payment card
according to the commercial exchange rate for card transactions valid on the day
of the transaction;

7.2. For the use of the T2C service, the Bank will not charge fees, as this service is
offered to customers free of charge;

7.3. The Customer confirms that all conditions in these Rules are clear to him and he
accepts them in full;

7.4. Customers shall be informed of the termination/amendment of these Rules or of


the entry into force of the new Rules for the use of the T2C service, by means of
the publication of the respective information/placement of the new version of the
Rules on the website www.maib.md. The Rules shall be deemed to have been
amended from the moment of publication/placement of the new version on the
website www.maib.md;

7.5. Relations between the Bank and the Customer arising as a result of the use of the
T2C service and which are not specified in these Rules shall be regulated in
accordance with the "Rules for the use of cards by individuals" issued by BC
"MAIB "S.A. and/or the legislation in force of the Republic of Moldova, as well as
the Rules and Regulations of Money Remittance Systems;

7.6. In order to avoid the risk of fraudulent actions with the payment card, the
Cardholder is obliged to respect and comply with the instructions for the use and
storage of payment cards in accordance with the "Rules for the use of cards by
individuals" issued by BC "MAIB "S.A., including:

7.6.1. be vigilant and do not disclose to unknown persons details of the identity
card held, the unique remittance identification code, the SMS message with
the one-time password (OTP), the card number, the CVV of the card (on
the back of the card), the validity date of the card, other confidential
information;
7.6.2. in the event of any doubts, call the Bank representatives immediately on
telephone number 1313 for the necessary consultations.

7.7. The Customer consents to the processing of his/her personal data by the Bank,
confirms the veracity of the data provided and acknowledges the Bank's right to
verify them;

7.8. The parties shall settle any disagreements and claims arising from the use of the
T2C service amicably. In the absence of consensus, the parties' disputes shall be
settled in the manner established by the legislation in force in the Republic of
Moldova;

7.9. The Bank will provide customers with support in the use of the T2C service through
the Call Centre Service at the short phone number: 1313 or e-mail inform@maib.md.
