Course objective:
A highlight of the basic physiological and processes of homeostasis that go on in the human
body. Emphasis will be given, where appropriate, on how diseased states may affect
homeostasis.
In this course we expect you to learn to think and discuss rather than just memorize the text-
book info. You may also be examined on materials discussed during the class in addition to
the text-book. Please also make sure you have a working email account and access to
ODTUClass as soon as the classes start.
Weekly schedule:
Important points:
1. Exams will consist of a mixture of essay-type questions, true-false, fill the blanks and
multiple choice questions (60% for midterm exams [30% Kiriş, %30 Muyan]), 40% for final
exam)
2. Active participation in the lecture is requested.
3. Make-up exams are given only in case of unavoidable circumstances. Please make sure that
you have proper internet connection and your laptop is charged before an exam.
4. Owing to the class size students getting grades higher than DD will not be allowed to take
the course again to improve their grades.
