This study explores the relationship between the way parents raise their children and the

level of self-efficacy, or confidence in one's ability to succeed, among science majors education

students of Leyte Normal University. The results of the study will be of great benefit to the

following:

1. The Teachers: The findings of the study can be used by educators and school administrators

to design programs and support systems that better meet the needs of students, particularly

science majors.

2. The Students: This study will help students better understand the impact that their

upbringing has on their confidence and academic performance. This information can be used

by students to reflect on their own experiences and identify areas where they might need

additional guidance or support.

3. The Future Researchers: This study advances our understanding of the relationship

between parenting styles and self-efficacy and will serve as a foundation for further

investigation in this important area of research.

Overall, the significance of this study for students lies in its potential to promote self-awareness,

provide valuable insights for academic and personal growth, and support the development of

successful and confident individuals in the field of science.
