Dear Students,
The Second Internal Assessment for the course of Public International Law will be a IRAC
Analysis for a total of 20 marks. The allocation of the marks is discussed in the guidelines
mentioned below.
The submission of the Research paper will be on 2nd April 2024 by 5:00 PM. NO LATE
SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ENTERTAINED.

Issue Identification (3 marks)


Rule Statement (2 marks)
Application of Law to Facts (Analysis) (6 marks)
Conclusion (3 marks)
Reverse Judgment (6 marks)
In addition to the standard IRAC analysis, students are required to include a "Reverse Judgment"
section. In this section, students are expected to critically evaluate potential counterarguments or
alternative interpretations of the law and facts. This demonstrates a deeper understanding of the
complexities of the legal issues involved.

B. Page Number
Continuous Page Number is mandatory and it can be set at any visible side of the sheet.

D. Footnote
For Footnotes 21st Edition Bluebook shall be followed.

Any data borrowed from any other source shall be duly acknowledged in the footnote otherwise
it shall be considered as plagiarism.

E. There shall not be any error especially in the title page of the assignment.

F. Footnotes, bibliography, Quotations, Title page, general words repetition, name of the
statutes, legal provisions are excluded from the permissible limit of similarity index.

Note:
The following are the rules in compliance with point VI: Benchmarking similarity index of
plagiarism at the University of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Rules for
Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism, 2019, dated 30th September
2019.
1. Up to 10% similarity index is permitted.

Guidelines for case


1) A group of three students will write one assignment.
2) All the team members will be awarded the same marks.
3) Students are free to choose their respective teams. Subsequent interpersonal issues among
the team members will not be entertained.
4) The students will choose any case law from the list provided by the faculty.
5) All the students from a group will make the submission on moodle.
