WHAT ARETHE CONFLICTING IDEAS BETWEEN RELIGIOUS THOUGHT AND THE IDEOLOGY OF
GLOBALISMDISCUSSED IN LESSON 1?

I. Opening Statement

A new era of cross-border communication and cultural interaction has been ushered in by
globalization. But it has also caused a conflict between religious beliefs and the globalist philosophy,
as was looked at in Lesson 1.

II. 1st Review Related Literature

Stephen Knott and Jennifer Price found that by introducing new concepts and values from other
cultures, globalization has undermined and altered old religious beliefs. This is especially true in
cultures where religion is an important element of daily life. Due to their perception that globalization
poses a threat to their traditional way of life, some religious organizations have grown more opposed
to its rapid pace.

III. Analysis/ Interpretation of the 1st RRL

The study by the authors sheds important light on how religion and globalization compete with one another. It
might be difficult for some people of religion to accept how drastically distinct belief systems have changed as
a result of the blending of various cultures and ideologies. In response, some religious communities have
adopted a more traditional stance in an effort to protect their way of life and stop the influx of outside
cultures. The paper contends that there is a fundamental incompatibility between the principles of
globalization and deeply held religious convictions, calling attention to the problem.

IV. General Conclusion:

In conclusion, there are certain conflicts between the ideologies of religion and globalization. The
manner that globalization has upended and undermined traditional religious beliefs is indicative of the
conflict between these two ideas. The conflict between these two innate concepts is expected to exist
as globalization continues to influence international cultures and economies.

V. Closing Statement:

It is crucial to have an open discussion that respects various cultural and religious ideas while
aggressively fostering mutual understanding and respect in order to advance toward a solution. The
research conducted by Knott and Price (2011) emphasizes the conflict that exists between
globalization and religious beliefs and can be used as a springboard for talks on how to resolve it.
