UnionBank-branded Credit Card Member-Get-Member (MGM)

October 4, 2023 – March 20, 2024 Promo

(DTI FTEB-176978 Series of 2023)

1. The UnionBank Member-Get-Member Promotion (referred to as “Promo”) will run from October
4 to March 20, 2024 (the “Promo Period”).

2. The Promo is exclusive to all existing Principal UnionBank-branded Cardholders, whose credit
cards have been issued by Union Bank of the Philippines (“UnionBank”) whose cards accounts are
active and in good credit standing who are not prohibited under the applicable Gifts, Anti-Bribery
and Corruption laws, regulations and policies from participating in and /or qualifying for this Promo
(referred to as “Referrer”).

The promo is not open to persons who are multi-carrier agents of other banks or third parties
involved in the business selling of credit cards.

This promo is not open to current employees of Union Bank of the Philippines.

3. UnionBank-branded cardholders will get a Php 5,000 Giftaway eGift (referred to as “Reward”) for
every credit card referral (referred to as “Referral) within the promo period and subsequently gets
approved.

4. The Promo is not applicable to Referrers and Referrals if the Referral is a resident individual of the
European Union, European Economic Area (EEA) or any other jurisdictions where referral activity is
restricted. Please consult a bank representative for more details.

5. To qualify for the Reward of Php5,000 eGift for every approved UnionBank-branded credit card
referral, the Referrer must follow the following steps:

• The Referrer needs to refer by visiting the UnionBank website (http://UnionBankph.com)


and navigating to the Credit Card Referral portion of the page. He/she may also access the
same via the Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) invite or SMS sent to him/her.

• The Referrer must complete the 3-Step Referral Process within the Referral Page:

i. Step 1 – Referrer needs to provide the last 6 digits of his/her registered


mobile phone number with UnionBank.

ii. Step 2 – Referrer needs to provide the last 4 digits of his/her UnionBank
credit card.

iii. Step 3 – Referrer will get the unique referral link by clicking on the “Copy
Link" button and needs to share this link with prospective applicants.

• The Referrer must refer prospects who meet the criteria set out in item 6.
• The prospect referred by the Referrer (“Referral”) must apply for a UnionBank credit card
during the Promo Period, using the unique referral link provided by the Referrer.

• The UnionBank credit card application of the Referral must be approved.

6. The Referral must at a minimum meet the following criteria:

• Has no Principal UnionBank Credit Card or has not had one within the last six (6) months
prior to the referral.

• Has no Principal Citibank Credit Card or has not had one within the last six (6) months
prior to the referral.

• Is between 21 to 65 years old

7. The Referrer agrees and undertakes that when sharing his/her referral link, he/she will not use
UnionBank’s trademarks, service marks, logos, symbols, or brand names, or proprietary indicia, or
otherwise use the intellectual property of UnionBank in advertising, promotional or marketing
communications or correspondence with his/her Referrals. However, Referrers may use the name
of UnionBank or the name of the Promo in sharing their referral link.

8. The Referrer agrees and undertakes that when sharing his/her referral link, he/she will not
represent or misrepresent that he/she is acting for or on behalf of UnionBank. Referrers who abuse
the referral program in any manner and engage in fraudulent activity shall be reported to the
Department of Trade and Industry (“DTI”). This shall be done without prejudice to any legal action
that may be taken by UnionBank.

9. The Referrer agrees and undertakes that when sharing his/her referral link, he/she will not make
false claims about UnionBank, its products, or the application process. False claims or any
unauthorized action may result in the disqualification of the Referrer from the Promo. This is
without any prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by UnionBank against the Referrer.

10. The Referrer agrees and undertakes that when participating in the Promo, he/she cannot
use the Promo as a platform for selling UnionBank credit cards. Abuse or any unauthorized action
may result in the disqualification of the Referrer from the Promo. This is without any prejudice to
any legal action that may be taken by UnionBank against the Referrer.

11. The Referrer agrees and undertakes that he/she will not allow a third party to share
his/her unique link on his/her behalf.

12. The Referral must personally complete his/her UnionBank credit card application and not
allow the Referrer or a third party to complete on his/her behalf.

13. The qualified Referrer will be able to redeem his/her Reward as follows:

a. Within thirty (30) business days from the approval of the Referral’s card application, the
qualified Referrer will receive an SMS that contains the following:

a. Redemption link: http://gft.ph/UBrefer


b. Promo code.

The promo code is valid for sixty (60) days after receipt of qualified Referrer.

b. The qualified Referrer shall be entitled to redeem the Reward through Giftaway.ph after
three (3) business days from receipt of the SMS / EDM.

c. He/she should provide the following information to Giftaway.ph, the accredited


redemption merchant, through the redemption link:

i. Promo code;

ii. Name;

iii. Email address;

iv. Mobile number;

v. Last 4 digits of his/her UnionBank credit card.

d. By redeeming the Reward through the Giftaway redemption site, the Referrer is
responsible for providing his/her personal and other information to Giftaway.ph, and agrees
that such information, provided by the Referrer to Giftaway.ph, will be subject to the
confidentiality, data privacy and security terms of Giftaway.

e. The Referrer will receive eGift codes from Giftaway through his/her nominated email
address and mobile number. The eGift codes will be sent in denominations of Php500.

14. The qualified Referrer may use his/her eGift code by presenting the same at any of the
Giftaway merchants (https://giftaway.ph/browse).

15. The promo code/s are valid (and the qualified Referrer may input the code/s in the
redemption link) sixty (60) calendar days after the qualified Referrer receives his promo code/s
from UnionBank via SMS. Promo code/s which are not redeemed within sixty (60) calendar days
after receipt from UnionBank will be forfeited.

The eGift codes are valid for one (1) year after the qualified Referrer receives the eGift codes from
Giftaway via SMS and/or email. eGift codes which are not redeemed within 1 year after receipt from
Giftaway will be forfeited.

16. The MGM Giftaway eGift cannot be converted to or paid out in cash or in kind.

17. In case of multiple Referrers referring the same person (i.e. Referral), the Reward will be
given to the Referrer whose applicant link was completed, submitted to, and encoded first by
UnionBank.

18. UnionBank may discontinue the granting of the Reward to the relevant Card account if:

• applicable law, regulation, or policy restricts the continued granting of such Reward; or
• the Referrer does not comply with the terms and conditions of the UnionBank Card
Agreement or the rules governing credit relationships.

19. In case of dispute with respect to the Referrer’s eligibility, coverage of dates, fulfillment,
validity of promo codes, expiration of offer., UnionBank’s decision shall prevail. All questions or
disputes for the Promo shall be resolved by UnionBank with the concurrence of DTI.

20. Fraud, abuse or any unauthorized action relating to the credit card application, the
participation in the Promo, or the redemption of the MGM Reward may result in the
disqualification of the Referrer from the Promo, suspension or cancellation of card privileges or the
charging of the full cost of the MGM Reward to the Referrer’s Card account, at UnionBank’s
discretion. This shall be without prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by UnionBank.
