Belief From Experience (2/2)
INTRODUCTION

WHAT DO PEOPLE WANT?

I have talked to many people as to what they really want. After some false
starts, they all come up with statements like “I need a reliable connection to
a higher power which does not judge me. It should put a protective shield
around me and help me whenever I need.” Or, “I want to see the Goddess.
Teach me how to do that.” Or, “I am stuck in this environment or karma. I
STARTER REGIME: TASTE OF SAMADHI AND STABILIZING IT

have no freedom. Teach me how to free myself”. They are all the same;
people feel lack of a loving power and hence helpless, so they need love
and power to overcome their destiny. Only a power which is not confined
by time, space or energy (matter), the power of the Mother Goddess who
created the trinity can rewrite your destiny. How can I see Goddess or
experience a divine connection to Her? What is the minimum I have to do?

BELIEF VS. EXPERIENCE

Which must come first: Belief or Experience? Without experience, you are
not going to believe in it blindly. But to get an experience, you must put in
some effort. This means that with a minimum effort, a jolt, an experience
must come first. Belief, motivation, effort, commitment and faith flow easily
once you have the experience.

GURUJI’S WISHES FOR THE SEEKERS

“I hope you'll practice, Virajā Homa, Prāṇa Pratiṣṭha, Yoga Nidra and
Kuṇḍalini Awakening for about 40 days. It has taken me a lot of time in
preparing these things and I want you to be benefited. Please, please put in
some effort cause nothing comes without effort. If you have an effort and if
you have a goal, you may reach it or not. If you have no goal and you put in
no effort, you will surely not reach it. So, therefore, it makes sense to put in
some effort and reach the goal of whatever you want to be.

May Goddess be with you, may God be with you.”

About Prāṇa Pratiṣṭha
01. PRĀṆA PRATIṢṬHA
STARTER REGIME: TASTE OF SAMADHI AND STABILIZING IT

Prāṇa means - life energy and pratiṣṭhā means - to establish.

In this practice you are infusing vital energy of the Goddess into the
yourself.

Since She is invoked with the prāṇa of the practitioner, the duality
between Her and the person is lost.

Devī is invoked using external sense organs (eyes, ears, nose, etc.),
organs of perception (sight, hearing, smell, etc.), as well as with the
dhatus (i.e. body constituents - plasma, blood, bone etc.) along with
the life breath; all of that is followed by the request for the Goddess to
happily reside in one’s body for a long time.

As soon as this mantra is recited, the person, Lalitā and the process of
worship become one. The practitioner should visualize this union by
silently meditating on it for a number of minutes.

This contemplation is essential.

STARTER REGIME: TASTE OF SAMĀDHI AND STABILIZING IT (TOSS)

Introduction
03. KUṆḌALINI MEDITATION

This dynamic meditation stills thoughts (no language) and allows

feeling the coherence in the entire body called Kuṇḍalini.

It has to be done with the body moving as it likes to the chant of

a Devī-Guru mantra, with your awareness being focused on its
STARTER REGIME: TASTE OF SAMADHI AND STABILIZING IT

movement.
The movements are slow and sinuous like that of a snake relaxing
every part of its body.

You may crawl on ground to feel your deep connection to earth

and ground negative energies, or rise up to dance like a snake.

Let go of all inhibitions to touch all parts of your body. It is just

like you are taking a bath with water which flows over every part
of your body and you are massaging it gently.

The purpose of this 30 min. meditation is to experience:

1) A total relaxation and fluid state of your being,

2) Achieve coherence between different parts of the body, and
3) Heal naturally all disorders coming out of censoring feelings.

connected to the gross or subtle body, but is an Energy connected
with Divinity. All imagery of Gods and Goddesses are connected with
snakes. For example, Gaṇapatī wears a snake as the sacred thread,
Śiva wears it as an ornament around his neck, Pārvatī as a bracelet,
and Viṣṇu even reclines on the serpent coils.

Ṛṣīs through austerities and sādhanā, learnt the secrets of this Energy
by experience and termed it “Prāṇa Śakti”. Later, in the Tantra Śāstras,
it came to be known as Kuṇḍalini Śakti.

Nature of Kuṇḍalini and How To Awaken It
03. KUṆḌALINI MEDITATION

WHAT IS KUṆḌALINI WAYS TO AWAKEN KUṆḌALINI

LOCATION: ACTIVE WAY:

• The rightful place of the Kuṇḍalini is the svādhiṣṭhāna cakra. • Systematic physical exercises and techniques of concentration,

- Male body - in perineum, between urinary and excretory
organs.
PASSIVE WAY:
- Female body - at root of uterus, in the cervix. • Path of surrender and or intense bhakti which can result in a
spontaneous awakening of Kuṇḍalini.
FORM:
• Comes from the word kuṇḍala (coiled). The word kuṇḍa also
means pit, as in homa kuṇḍa, which is connected to the pit at the
mūlādhāra where She’s residing.

• Coiled 3½ times like a snake, with the coils having the following

“Understanding Kuṇḍalini” by Guruji
03. KUṆḌALINI MEDITATION

The symbolism of the snake is a universal archetype, spanning ages and

cultures. Imagine right now that a snake is crawling over your “body—
but you are a small child who is either not aware it is a snake or has not
yet learned to name it as a snake. What do you feel? You feel a supreme
pleasure in its touch. It coils around your limbs and gives you a beautiful
massage. In this situation, you have not named it or identified it with a
potentially negative or dangerous situation. You’re just playing with it.
STARTER REGIME: TASTE OF SAMADHI AND STABILIZING IT

That is the nature of Śiva.

However, the moment you associate this situation with the notion of a
fear that the snake might kill you, that fear is related to the Mūlādhāra
Cakra. So on the one hand there is pleasure, and on the other hand there
is fear. It is this pleasure-fear complex that is symbolized by the snake.

If you look at the philosophical structure behind all this, you find that
the snake is an animal that moves in a wavy-curvy fashion, not in a
straight line. When a person is drunk, they move in a wavy, zigzagging
fashion, unclear about what direction they’re moving in. But if a snake
becomes drunk, what does it do? It moves straight!

The mind and its thought patterns also move like snakes, zigzagging
hither and thither in a wavy fashion. But when the mind becomes steady
and one-pointed—when it flows relatively straight—then it is “drunken.”
This is the intoxication they refer to in the Tantras—and the result of that
drink, that ambrosia, is what makes your mind one-pointed and straight,
so that the Kuṇḍalini Śakti can flow up the suṣumṇa channels instead of
going ’round the petals in whichever way it pleases. That is the
symbolism of the snake.

What causes the notion of separateness in the first place? It occurs

because you interact with the world through your five sensory modes of
perception. They are your local magnifiers. So you don’t know the world
as it actually exists; you know it as it seems to exist, through the filter of
your senses. But when Kuṇḍalini awakens, it enables you to transcend
these sensory limitations. And when you’ve done this, you can smell
distant odors, taste remote juices, see distant forms, touch distant
objects, and hear music playing continents away. One after another, your
2022
senses extend beyond their limitations of perspective, distance and time.

Śrī Guru Mantra
03. KUṆḌALINI MEDITATION

In this dynamic meditation you will be utilizing Śrī Guru mantra, which
can be chanted without initiation. It combines the Pañcadaśi Mantra
with Guru’s name by adding the words amṛta, ānanda and jananī to its
three corresponding parts:

ka e ī la hrīṃ amṛta
Symbolizes Icchā śakti (will/desire) and is related to our face.
STARTER REGIME: TASTE OF SAMADHI AND STABILIZING IT

Everyone is seeking immortality. Amṛta is the meaning of saṅkalpa

(intention). We make a saṅkalpa (icchā śakti), and it must be undying
and unchanging for it to manifest. So ka e ī la hrīṃ is amṛta.

ha sa ka ha la hrīṃ ānanda
Symbolizes Jñānā śakti (knowledge) and is related to the portion of
the body between neck and hip.

We protect and nourish our saṅkalpa, through knowledge (jñānā)

śakti. Jñanā gives us happiness or ānanda. Nourishment gives us
happiness. When the mother feeds the baby and puts her on the
chest and the baby is sleeping, it is filled with supreme joy, which is
ānanda.

sa ka ha la hrīṃ jananī
Symbolizes Kriyā śakti (action) and is related to the portion of the
body below the hip.
And finally, we want to realize our intention, which is done through the
Manifesting Mother or jananī.

MUSICAL ACCOMPANIMENT

In order to provide structure to this mantra recitation, Guruji has

composed an accompanying music lasting 30 minutes divided into
three 10 minute parts sung in different rāgas:

1) Amṛtavarṣiṇī rāga - it rains nectar.

2) Ānanda Bhairavī rāga – it produced happiness.

3) Madhyamāvati rāga – it activates the central suṣumṇa channel.

Introduction to Yoga Nidra

Mental bath. What happens when you take your bath? The water
comes in contact with every part of your body energizing each part.
That's why after taking a bath you feel so fresh and energetic. Because
every part of your body is being relaxed by the heat of the water and
the soap that you apply. So the technique of this yoga is akin to taking
a bath.
The process. During the practice you will try to relax by taking your
STARTER REGIME: TASTE OF SAMADHI AND STABILIZING IT

awareness to every part of your body, feeling each one as clearly as

possible, as if only this part exists and nothing else. After sinking the
body into ground, the spirit rises from it to soar and experience astral
travel, going beyond limits of physical body.
Commitment. The idea is to still the body but keep mind alert. It is
important that you make a commitment to stay awake during the
practice. Because in a static lying position, it’s easy to start dozing off,
so don't do that.
Two ways to proceed. After about 15 minutes of the meditation, there
will be a 5 minute gap in which you will do nothing. You will be in a
state where you body disappears and at this stage you can do two
things:
1) Remain an observer, or
2) Experience astral travel. You can identify with the astral spirit to
dream of other places and times, and when you come back it is as
if the body comes back to life, with memories of your experience.
Or, you just relax and tell your spirit what to do, letting it go out of
your body to report its findings to you at an appointed time.
Realisation of your immortality. You will understand that you have a
body that survives the physical body, which can know and can find
another body to be reborn into.
Manifesting your desires. If you make a steady and deeply emotional
commitment (saṅkalpa) to achieve something before going into this
meditation, you are bound to get it. Thus you can achieve what you
want.
