English exam is more or so often to be failed by many

students especially for studenst who doesn’t speak

English. Students’ performance in English exams can be
influenced by various factors, leading to unsatisfactory
results. Some of the key factors contributing to
students’ poor performance in English exams include:
Lack of proficiency. One of the primary reasons
students struggle in English exams is a lack of
proficiency in the language. This can stem from
inadequate teaching methods, limited exposure to
English outside the classroom, or a lack of motivation
to improve their language skills. Another key factor is
limited vocabulary, this can hinder students’ ability to
understand and respond to exam questions effectively.
Without a wide range of words at their disposal,
students may struggle to express their ideas clearly and
concisely. Another related note is grammar. Poor grasp
of grammar rules and sentence structure can lead to
errors in writing and speaking. These errors can affect
the overall coherence and clarity of students’
responses in English exams or even communicating in
general. And in an addition to it, Reading
comprehension is crucial for understanding exam
questions and passages. Students who struggle with
reading comprehension may find it challenging to
extract relevant information from texts and apply it to
their answers, if you cant even read nor understand the
texts to answer the questions, then how are you going
to answer them. Like any skill, proficiency in English
requires regular practice. Students who do not practice
reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English
outside the classroom may struggle to perform well in
exams and it goes the same to Students from non-
English-speaking backgrounds. They may face
additional challenges due to differences in cultural
norms, language structures, and communication styles.
But most importantly, Poor study habits,
procrastination, and lack of preparation can all
contribute to poor performance in English exams.
Students who do not dedicate sufficient time and effort
to studying may struggle to achieve satisfactory results.
In conclusion, students’ poor performance in English
exams can be attributed to various factors, including
lack of proficiency, limited vocabulary, grammar, lack of
reading comprehension, limited practice, cultural and
linguistic background, ETC. To improve their
performance, students should focus on enhancing their
language skills through regular practice, expanding
their vocabulary, seeking help from teachers or tutors,
and developing effective study habits. By addressing
these factors, students can overcome challenges and
achieve better results in English.
