It is certainly true that the environment is one of the most serious problem which

will have effect to our life around the world in the future. However, I agree with
the given statement that a great number of residents are ignoring this situation so
that the following outline will prove my opinion.
The frist reason is that many people consider the environmental problems is a
future concern. In fact, environmental reports often warn us of the dire
consequences of climate change or energy crisis decades later. As a result, many
people feel of money and time are better spent on solving more immediate
problems such as housing shortage or traffic congestion than on preventing a
disaster that is only predicted to happen in the future. Moreover, if this occure
sooner than expected, people now still believe that the later generations will have
such a more effective solution and it is time consuming to think about it.
On the other hand, media transport is considered as a vital help, however, the
government has not made the most of it in order to provide citizens with
information. This is leading a warning state that most people lack of
consciousness. According to some reports, merely 70% of people have heard about
negative phenomenons of evironment, they have no in-depth knowledge of why
those happen, though. Another serious warning associated with this problem is
they maybe confuse whether their actions are right.
In conclusion, although there may be some people who have a high level of
awareness of what our environment is facing, the majority of population still do
not give them the attention they deserve.
