The document follows my summarization of Organizational Behavior and its significance in
current times. It explores various aspects of organizations’ external and internal views, the
open system perspective including the formal and informal organizational components. An
organization is essentially a purposeful, harmoniously coordinated group of two or more
individuals that operates continuously toward the attainment of a shared objective or a series
of objectives.

The organization is an open system wherein, Internal components interconnect with the task
environment: Task inputs from the environment and to Provide output to the environment.
And also Internal components interconnect among themselves to process the input to output.
The environment includes Permeable boundaries, Continuous exchange of resources and
information, Unpredictable environment, and Leaders as environment scanners. Formal
Organizations represent the formal, authorized, and highly conspicuous component of the
system, while Informal Organizations encompass the unauthorized and less prominent aspect
of the system, as exemplified by entities like Management and Union.

Organizational Behavior is an area of research that explores how the actions of individuals,
teams, and organizational structures influence the performance of an organization, with the
aim of enhancing its overall efficiency.

To understand Organizational Behaviour in current times, understanding Digitalization and its

effect on an organization as well as on an individual is crucial. The shift towards
digitalization, replacing analogy environments, has a broad impact on products, locations,
business services, and models. It's reshaping the competitive landscape of the market
economy and causing traditional approaches to be disrupted through the utilization of
technologies like Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Machine Learning.
Organizational design aims to create structured and constructive formation based on
predictable scenarios with controlled changes. For the new structures to succeed, work
methods and task management tools must undergo certain changes. Teamwork involves
innovative methodologies, among which two of the most common are, Design Thinking,
solving situations creatively by considering multiple points of view, and Scrum, to prioritize
gradual product development.
Overall, It underscores the significance of employee experience and willingness to learn
continuously in creating a positive work environment. It recognizes that organizations need to
prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of their employees to foster a productive and
engaged workforce. It is also crucial to enable employees to adapt to the rapidly changing
digital landscape and acquire the required skills to thrive in their roles.

To effectively adapt to current changes, it's crucial to embrace an agile leadership approach,
as Agile teams are ideally suited for fostering innovation. This innovation entails harnessing
creativity to enhance products, services, processes, or business models in a profitable manner.
When confronted with complex challenges, Agile teams break them down into manageable
components and rapidly prototype solutions while maintaining close feedback loops.

In North America and Western Europe, around one million workers have transitioned from
the stability of traditional organizational roles to become independent contractors. Those in
the Gig Economy establish connections in four key areas – place, purpose, routine, and social
interactions. These connections help them navigate the emotional highs and lows of their
work and draw motivation and energy from their newfound freedom. Independent workers
invest significant effort in creating a conducive "holding environment" encompassing
physical, social, and psychological aspects of their work. Unlike conventional career paths
that prioritize security and stability, independent workers often find these elusive.
Nevertheless, many of those we studied expressed a sense of achievement. Success in the Gig
Economy revolves around striking a delicate balance between predictability and opportunity,
as well as between sustainability and vitality.

Motivation represents a process that commences with a physiological or psychological

deficiency, triggering a behavior or drive directed toward a specific goal or incentive. A
fundamental tenet of motivation theory is the holistic nature of an organism's functioning.
The concept of hunger drive, while once considered central, has been discarded as a
definitive model for motivation theory. Instead, it is recognized that most motivation
behaviors, whether preparatory or consummatory, serve as channels through which various
fundamental needs are simultaneously expressed. Virtually all states within an organism are
viewed as motivated and motivating. The social context plays a pivotal role in influencing
differences in motivation and personal growth both within and between individuals, resulting
in varying levels of self-motivation, energy, and integration across different situations,
domains, and cultures.

Learning within an organization can be defined as a lasting alteration in one's actions brought
about by their experiences. This transformation in behavior serves as evidence that learning
has occurred, essentially signifying that learning is synonymous with behavior modification.
The behaviorist perspective entails linking behaviors to their consequences to facilitate
learning, while the Cognitive approach initiates learning by engaging in cognitive processes
to acquire knowledge about a subject, subsequently resulting in behavioral changes. Team
learning involves recognizing that within an organization, thinking is a collaborative process.
It entails jointly addressing problems, comprehending ambiguities, and transforming
uncertainties into a tangible representation of the world.

The efficiency of learning in an organization is influenced by various aspects. Initiating and

maintaining learning attempts depend heavily on motivation. Motivated workers are more
likely to actively participate in learning activities and look for opportunities for advancement.
Experimental events can have an impact on learning since people build on their prior
knowledge and abilities. Learning is facilitated through training programs, informational
access, and technological advancements. Organizations can foster a culture of learning by
providing a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages continuous learning and
growth. This can be achieved through initiatives such as training and development programs,
knowledge-sharing platforms, and performance feedback systems.
