Objectives:
● SWBAT: Explore and ask questions to seek meaningful information about a growing
range of topics, ideas, and tasks.
Materials:
● Powerpoint
Procedure:
Introduction: “Hello friends! Today we are going to be starting our day off with a
morning meeting. We will go over a fun fact, a joke, a think about it, a poll, and a share out!”
Anticipatory Set/Activating Strategies:
● How is everyone doing today?
● (wait for some answers)
Sequence of Lessons:
● Start with the introduction
● Anticipatory Set
● Begin the powerpoint slide
● Closing statements
Closure/Summarizing Strategy: “ Great job today friends! We got to go over a fun fact,
a joke, a think about it, a poll, and a share out!”
Assessment:
● Formal assessment during the share out to see if the kids understood the question
and what I was asking them
Assignment (if any):
● There will be no assignment
Special Considerations:
● Visual Impairment: Silas and Liam both wear glasses. So making sure that they are close
to the board to see the powerpoint.
● Poor Listening Skills: Andrew and Maadhav have a tough time listening to directions
sometimes. Calling their names and making sure that they are listening and asking them
occasionally to repeat the directions.
● Behavior: Logan and Harris can sometimes talk too much since they are next to each
other and best friends. Keeping an eye on them and making sure they are focused and
staying on task.
Accommodations:
● Timing and Scheduling: A timer can be set on my watch to make sure things are on time
and I am accomplishing what I need to accomplish.
● Assigned Seating: Making sure students who tend to get distracted do not sit next to each
other.
