CEF Participant Form - Charles Sturt Explore Day Experience Camp 2023

Introduction
Country Education Foundation of Australia (CEF) assists over 650 students through grants, scholarships and subsidised
excursions and events each year. Any student who receives a grant, scholarship, or other funded benefit from CEF should
be mindful of their role as an ambassador for the organisation, themselves, their school and family.

This form is an agreement between you and the Country Education Foundation of Australia (CEF). Please read it carefully
before signing.
The Charles Sturt University Explore Day Experience Camp is a 2-day, overnight excursion, from Monday 18th – Tuesday
19th March, where the group of students will be transported by bus to Wagga Wagga and chaperoned by CEF staff members
and supervised by an external risk management team. Accommodation and meals are provided.
If you have any questions or areas of concern you would like to discuss, please reach out to CEF National Office on (02) 6362
3162 or info@cef.org.au
Code of Conduct
CEF requires the following expectations of behaviour to maintain the integrity of the organisation.

On buses/public transport
 Treat everyone with respect including drivers, other students and staff. Follow the instructions of drivers and do
not distract or interact with the drivers, as we rely on them for our comfort and safety.
 Avoid loud, attention seeking behaviour. Noise will distract the driver.
 Movement out of seats is dangerous and illegal.
 The bus should be left clean and tidy.

Awareness and respect of others

 You may visit places of historic, cultural or religious significance. Respect the beliefs and traditions of others and
behave appropriately.
 Loud comments or inappropriate gestures are unacceptable and insensitive.
 Treat other attendees, staff of CEF, clients of the organisation and any others involved with the excursion or
related activities with respect.
 CEF has zero tolerance for any form of sexual harassment, racism and/or bullying. All students and staff have the
right to a safe experience and any concerning behaviour by others must be reported to the supervising staff.
Attendance at scheduled activities
 You are required to attend any organised activities which have been planned as part of the excursion. These have
been planned for your benefit.

Alcohol, drugs, smoking

 These are unacceptable at any time while on an excursion. By attending a CEF excursion you agree NOT to smoke,
use e-cigarettes or vapes, bring or consume illegal and non-prescribed drugs, or to bring, purchase or consume
alcohol throughout the camp.
Social Media
 Sharing and spreading the good work that CEF does via social media is encouraged but we request that you are
mindful of how you represent yourself and avoid compromising the good reputation of CEF, in particular during
excursions.
 Covert, hidden or any photography of any other students, staff and university without their consent is prohibited,
as is any use of a camera device in bathrooms or changerooms.
