Registration starts: 8:30 AM

Course starts : 9:00 AM
Finishes daily by 7:00 PM

There will be coff ee breaks and a lunch break throughout the day.
The course is designed to have the first day for the clinical examination skills practice and
second day for the procedural skills practice together with the information gathering and information
giving practice sessions.

All the tools and equipments will be provided. You will only asked to bring your own stethoscope.

We will be expecting the candidates to have gone already through the different skills stations as for
their preparation for their exam. Each candidate will be asked to perform certain clinical examination
station and to demonstrate it to his instructor as if he is doing it in his exam. Your performance will
be assessed against standardized checklists and detailed feedback will be given to each candidate.
The clinical skills section will be practiced on real and simulated patients to reproduce a similar
environment of the OSCE exam.For the procedures skills stations, each procedure will be
demonstrated by your instructor first and you will be asked to repeat the procedure yourself and your
performance will be assessed and you will be given a feedback. You will have enough time to
practice all the procedural skills freely several times. For the history taking and the communication
skills, we compiled a list with the commonly encountered stations in the last year and will practice
them on actors in a timed manner. The actors are briefed about the scenarios and your approach will
be assessed by your instructor and will be discussed against standard check lists.

As we wish you a very useful course we should reiterate on the importance of doing a proper review
of the different skills stations before attending the course. This will help you in putting yourself in a
real exam situation and you will be able to identify your week points for your instructors to help you
in rectifying them.
