Ethiopian Red Cross Society Woliso Branch Web-based Inventory
Information Management System.

1. Introduction
Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) Woliso Zonal Branch Woliso town pharmacy has been
visited by more than 200 customers per day since without digitalization still today. The
innovative pharmacy care programs and services to Red Cross pharmacy beneficiaries “highly
minimize has been us our stationery expenses,” says Tolcha Mare, Head of the pharmacy. “It
also enables us to serve a number of customers in a short time and to control our stock balance.”

The pharmacy has done a great job of being the best employee-minded and patient-focused
pharmacy. It is providing excellent patient care and looks forward to introducing its service-
leading offerings in the town.

Red Cross pharmacy service with low cost plays a great role in market moderation. For instance,
Woliso Red Cross pharmacy sells medicines like insulin at the equivalent of its purchasing cost
without any increment.

“At this time because of the price increment on medicines, the community refers to using Red
Cross pharmacies. The number of Red Cross pharmacy beneficiaries has doubled. So, we are
interested in modernizing their system from manual-based to web-based which is very simple to
give service to their customer, safe time, keep medicine in proper order on shelf and make the
expert work hard to satisfy the demand not only by digitalizing their service but also by
improving our working hours.
