Adverbs of Place (Adverbis de lloc)

(e.g.: here, there, behind, above)

Like adverbs of manner, these adverbs are put behind the direct object or the verb.

Com els adverbis de mode, aquestos adverbis es posen darrere de l'objecte directe (el qué) o del
verb, però darrere del verb s'escriuen quan el que volem fer és enfatitzar el lloc abans que l'acció.

·I didn’t see him here.

·No el veig (a ell) ací.

Adverbs of Time (Adverbis de temps)

(e.g.: recently, now, then, yesterday)

Adverbs of time are usually put at the end of the sentence.

Els adverbis de temps normalment es posen al final de la frase.

·I will tell you the story tomorrow

·Et contaré l'història demà.

If you don't want to put emphasis on the time, you can also put the adverb of time at the beginning
of the sentence.

Si no vols posar énfasi en el temps, també posts posar l'adverbi de temps al principi de la frase.

·Tomorrow I will tell you the story.

·Demà et contaré l'història.

Adverbs of Frequency (Adverbis de freqüència)

(e.g.: always, never, seldom, usually)

Adverbs of frequency are put directly before the main verb. If 'be' is the main verb and there is no
auxiliary verb, adverbs of frequency are put behind 'TO BE'. If there's an auxiliary verb, however,
adverbs of frequency are put before 'TO BE'.

Els adverbis de freqüència es posen directament abans del verb principal. Si el verb principal és 'TO
BE' i no hi ha verb auxiliar, els adverbis de freqüència es posen darrere del ver 'TO BE'. Si hi ha un
verb auxiliar, en canvi, els adverbis de freqüència es posen abans del verb 'TO BE'.

·I sometimes do yoga in the evenings.

·De vegades faig yoga per les vesprades.

·She is always in her room.

·Ella sempre està en la seua habitació.
