Directions: In the diagrams below, write down the benefits of cheer dancing that motivate
you to indulge in and the techniques that you should consider in a successful cheer dancing.

HEALTH BENEFFITS OF CHEER DANCING:

rate and blood circulation, promoting overall cardiovascular health.
2. Coordination: Cheer dancing requires precise timing and movement, which can
significantly improve coordination.
3. Social Skills: Being part of a cheer team often involves working closely with others,
which can help improve communication and social skills.
4. Muscular Strength and Flexibility: The variety of movements performed in cheer
dancing, such as lifts, tumbles, and jumps, enhance muscular strength and flexibility.
5. Teamwork and Discipline: Being part of a cheer dance team fosters a sense of teamwork
and discipline, as routines require synchronization and regular practice.

Techniques in Cheer dancing

1. Jumps and Leaps: These are energetic movements where the cheerleader leaves the
ground. They require strength, flexibility, and technique to execute correctly.
2. Tumbling and Acrobatics: These include gymnastic maneuvers like flips, cartwheels,
and handsprings. They contribute to the dynamism and visual appeal of a cheer routine.
3. Stunts and Lifts: These involve team members lifting or supporting one another in
various positions. They require trust, coordination, and strength.
4. Pyramid Building: This is a specific type of stunt where team members form a multi-
tiered pyramid. It requires teamwork, balance, and precision.
5. Cheer Motions: These are specific arm and hand movements used in cheerleading, such
as high Vs, low Vs, T motions, and more. They add visual structure to the routine.
Activity No. 2. DO IT YOURSELF (DIY)
Directions: Execute some of the cheer dance positions at home. Take a picture and attach
it below in a collage form with a short description specifying the correct execution of the body
parts.

1. High V: Arms raised straight above the head in a V shape, with palms facing forward
and fingers spread wide apart.
2. Low V: Arms raised straight down by the sides of the body, forming a V shape with
palms facing outward and fingers pointed towards the ground.
3. T Motion: One arm raised straight above the head, while the other arm is extended
straight out to the side, forming a T shape.
4. Touchdown: Both arms extended straight overhead, with palms facing inward and
fingers locked together.
5. Broken T: One arm extended straight overhead, while the other arm is bent at the
elbow with the hand placed on the hip.
