T-TYPE ATTENUATOR

An attenuator is to be designed for desired values of characteristic


resistance, R0 and attenuation.
The values of the arms of the
network can be specified in terms
of characteristic impedance (Z0)
and propagation constant (γ) of
the network. The network in the
figure is a symmetrical resistive
circuit; hence Z0 = R0 and γ = α
Applying Kirchhoff’s law
