What made our method fair?
- We had the same amount of coke bottles, same
type of mentos. We also had the same
environment. What I mean is the weather
didn’t change.
Did you control your variables well?
- We controlled our variables well by using
following our plan and using the same
amounts of coke each time and we measured
our experiment correctly, as well as dropping
the mentos on time. We put the right amount
of mentos. We conducted the experiment next
to a drain so there’s wouldn’t be a puddle of
coke. I ran away in time before the coke
erupted.
Was the independent variable clear?
- Our independent variable was clear because
we changed the amount of mentos we put each
time. We put three mentos and then six then
nine, so we increased the amount of mentos by
three.
What made our method unfair?
- There are two things that made our method
unfair. Those two things are on the last test one
of the mentos didn’t go in properly and the
mistake was as it was erupting, we anyways
put the mentos in and that didn’t help. And
then I accidentally broke a cylinder we were
using for inserting the mentos.

Were some control variables unaccounted for?

- No
Did you not control your variables well and was
the IV clear?
- We did control our variables and the IV was
clear as mentioned before in another question.
Did you make any mistakes during the
experiment?
- Yes, we made two mistakes. The first one was
where the mentos didn’t go in properly and we
decided to put the mentos back in even though
the coke started erupted. The second mistake
we made is that we broke the cylinder by
mistake.
Overall I think our method was mostly fair
because we only had two mistakes and those two
mistakes didn’t affect our experiment anyways.
