to discuss with a peer sat next to you. You will have 1 minute per

How to be organised to
attend your classes
• Get enough sleep
• Prepare meals in advance
• Avoid booking appointment on the days of
your class
• Discuss with your partner/children about your
schedule
• Ensure you check the road condition
beforehand

Attendance Policy
• A student who arrives 15 minutes late or leaves 15 minutes early will be marked as
absent.
• Attendance is recorded on hard copy as well as on GBS software.
• If the student does not respond to warning letters and/or fails to provide explanation
of non-attendance, the School will be required to report the student to the
awarding body after the student has missed consecutive classes.
• Students should maintain a minimum attendance of 80%.
• In lessons it is the student’s responsibility to sign the register.
• Students are not permitted to sign the register for friends or any other students.
• The student’s sponsor, including an employer, the Local Authority, or the Student
Loan Company, may be informed about the ongoing unsatisfactory attendance.

class tutor and the programme leader

q Attendance will be collated for each sessions and you will be contacted
by the programme administrator for any uninformed absences.

q Continuous non-attendance may lead to withdrawal from the course
