ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

NUMERACY AND LITERACY PROGRAM

I. INTRODUCTION
The Department of Education (DepEd) adopts the National Learning Recovery
Program (NLRP) through DepEd Order No. 013, s. 2023 which aims to strengthen the
learning recovery and continuity program, improve literacy and numeracy, and accelerate
the achievement of education targets.
This program focuses on capacitating the Kindergarten to Grade 3 teachers and
instructional leaders on the basic knowledge and pedagogical skills in literacy and
numeracy and in establishing and managing a school-based mentoring/learning
partnership program as a mechanism for continuous professional development of
teachers/mentors, teachers/mentees, school managers and instructional leaders and an
avenue for teachers to listen to storytelling and read aloud activities from the best
storytellers through the School – Based Learning Action Cell, per DepEd Order No. 12, s.
2015.

II. ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN

Department of Education through the Division Office I Pangasinan conducted

a division wide literacy and numeracy program to the learners which aims to
address the learning gap.
In response to the division memorandum, Dasol Integrated School conducted
literacy and numeracy program in Kindergarten. Kindergarten teachers presented
various activities including letter recognition, storytelling, phonics, letter match
game, reciting alphabets and more. While in Numeracy, the children are tasked to
recite the numbers, count numbers 1-10, coloring numbers and more. This will
help them remember the letters and sound of the alphabet, develop interest in
reading and numbers. The teacher also gave activities at home so that the
parents helped their child to recognize letters and numbers.
