their constituents in terms of governance related to health and nutrition, and environmental
protection, implementation of livelihood programs for senior citizen to give them additional
income, sports and physical fitness for the young and old community members. The creation of
the three projects were based from the assessment done in the different barangays of Siniloan.

particularly the marginalized members of the society which is primarily situated in some rural
areas and shorelines.
Balik-Basura, Balik-Pakinabang is one of the extension projects of AYUDA that aims to
lessen the problem on improper waste disposal by providing lectures and trainings on creating
usable and marketable output/products out of waste materials. Also, the project aims to re-

residents were able to improve their waste management disposal since they taught the
residents on how to reuse the waste materials from paper to plastic bottles thru art design and
creativity like the “Bulaklak ng Sinarol”. As a result, the CAS faculty assisted the community in
marketing and promoting their product.

series of orientations and seminars conducted by the CAS faculty, they were able to find ways
and means to improve their physical and health conditions including guidelines for normal
health status and preventive measures on the communication diseases and ailments brought by
the nature of their work. Lastly, the extension project leaders of H2O prepared a Handbook or
handout for the Health Awareness in Socio-economic, parenting and multiple burden nurturing
leadership. Also, they were oriented on community on management and sanitation practices
so one of the actual extension project activities was to clean the shoreline areas.
