SHARED VISION

Malamawi Central Elementary Schools’ goal for the next three years
(2024-2027) aims to provide learners with a developmentally to foster a lifelong love
of reading and writing where every learners becomes confident and proficient
communication , capable a critical thinking , emphaty and effective expression
through the power of literacy . Literacy instructions and curriculum should engage
learners with complex authentic diverse texts . They will develop their best way that
learners learn to read , write and communicate , to participate in meaningful close
reading collaborative discussion , self selected independent reading and
differentiated support from the teacher that is under the national standard .
Instruction should integrate units across disciplines allowing for the building of
knowledge and academic vocabulary. Faculty and staff will equip them with the
approaches and strategic that is a research- based and community based innovation
that involve the participation of parents , guardian and community leader. Teachers
and learners are holistically develop their psycho social well being .

Recently the data revealed that there are 36 pupils out of 108 belong to
frustration level in Filipino Oral Reading. Still in Filipino Silent Reading also 36 pupils.
While in English oral reading, there were 52 pupils and 49 pupils in silent reading.
There are 3 pupils who are NON-READER in Filipino and 4 of them in English. The
school has existing project entitled “Project R.I.C.H (Reading Intervention for
Children during Health Crisis)”. The school will also adopt the “Ten – minutes
Reading Habit” (REHAB for ten- minute) based from the Action research as an
intervention that teachers will look into to the struggling readers using the
MARUNGKO as a reading instructional materials. Aside from NLC standard tool, the
school will continuously implement the National Reading Program to enhance more
the love of Reading .

Malamawi Central Elementary School will always look into the positive
outcomes of the school as a whole .
