MUNICIPALITY OF CLAVER OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR
October 24, 2022
DIR. MONATAO HONEYA RADIA-ALAWI
Regional Director CDA Caraga Regional Office
Madam:
Greetings!
Among the thrusts of the Local Government Unit of Claver is to support
the sustainability of the livelihood organizations in the locality, particularly the associations and cooperatives, to realize its goal of food security. This initiative includes business monitoring, financial evaluation, marketing, business licensing, and registration. To cope with the competition, the LGU is encouraging the local business organizations to level up and expand their business capacity by applying for PhilGeps Accreditation, and FDA License to Operate.
In view of this, I would like to request an orientation/briefing pertaining
to the updates on the registration with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) of our existing livelihood organizations, and the issuance of a Certificate of Compliance (COC) for cooperatives since most of the active coops situated in our area are experiencing challenges in getting the COC. This is also in adherence to the requirements of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) for the issuance of License To Operate.
Further, I would also like to organize an open forum activity duly
participated by your agency, the Committee on Cooperative (Legislative Office) of Claver, LEEDM Office, and Claver SDMP Oversight Committee for other CDA activities and programs that may benefit the cooperatives in our area.
I look forward to a positive response from you. Thank you.
