Sample answer:
Last year, I went on a train to the south of France
with my family. We set off in London from Kings
Cross Station. Our destination was Aix en
Provence. What a long journey! Going through the
Channel tunnel was so strange. It was quite
frightening thinking about the sea above your head.
We had to change trains in Paris at a station called
Gare du Nord. While we were waiting for the next
train, we had lunch in a café at the train station. The
journey was long, but we played lots of games, and
we had lots of snacks with us. In fact, the time went
quite quickly. It was so interesting to look through
the windows and see the places we were travelling
through. It was lovely when we finally arrived in Aix
en Provence, as it was so warm and sunny. When
we had left London it was raining! It was such a fun
journey.
