Full Bridge Inverter – Circuit, Operation, Waveforms.

Definition:
A full bridge inverter is a type of DC to AC converter that is commonly used in various
applications, including motor drives, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and
renewable energy systems. The main function of a full bridge inverter is to convert
direct current (DC) power into alternating current (AC) power.

Circuit Configuration:
A full bridge inverter consists of four switching devices or thyristors, typically insulated
gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) or power MOSFETs, arranged in a bridge configuration.
The switching devices are connected to form two pairs, and each pair is connected to
one side of the DC input. The load is connected across the AC output terminals.
