What it is
My favorite festival is Tet, also known as the Lunar new year festival, is
the biggest traditional festival in Viet Nam
During Tet people often decorate their homes, prepare delicious dishes and
visit relatives.
To have good health, first of all we should choose to eat healthy foods
such as vegetables, fruits and so on. Second, we should regularly exercise 2 or 3
days a week.
We need to avoid eating fast food and drinking beer. At the same time, you
should not stay up late and smoke too much.
Because these activities help the body avoid toxic substances and
strengthen the immune system.

Tet, also known as the Lunar new year festival, is the biggest traditional
festival in Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February.
Before Tet, many Vietnameses often come back home and reunite with their
family. They both clean and decorate their house with peach or apricot blossoms
and kumquat trees. Vietnamese people also go shopping for food, confectionery
and new clothes to prepare for Tet. During Tet, Vietnameses often visits their
relatives and temples or pagoda to pray lucky and happiness. Specially, people
can receive lucky money from others as a way to give them wishes for the new
year. Another activities can occur such as play cards, play bingo,… Tet is an
occasion that every Vietnamese always gives the best wishes to others for the
happy new year. I really love Tet because it is the most meaningful festival in a
year.
I have had the opportunity to travel to many places in Vietnam, from the
southern provinces to the northern provinces. However, the trip to Ho Chi Minh
city was the most memorable. I travelled there when I was in grade 20 with my
friend. My friend was the one who booked the bus tickets for this trip. We
decided to take a bus with a sleeper bed to have the most comfortable trip. We
also prepared a lot of clothes for this trip because we planned to take many
beautiful photos. When I arrived, the bustling and beautiful city here surprised
me. I visited Suoi Tien, Dam Sen, Ben Thanh Market and so on. Ho Chi Minh
city was a real eye-opener to me. This was my favorite trip because I was able
to visit many interesting places. My close friends and I also have very beautiful
memories together here. If I have the chance, I would love to go to Ho Chi
Minh City again next year.
