- Urban environment
In this environment there are settlements with more than 2,500 inhabitants, i.e., it
has a high population density and there is a greater infrastructure development in
the urban geographic space.
Among the characteristics of the urban environment are the following:
- The landscape is altered by human intervention.
- The urban is identified with the city and as a space that has been constructed and
organized by human beings.
- Population density or
concentration is high.
- The population is diverse,
that is, with different cultural
practices, tastes and affinities.
- The industrial and service
sectors are the predominant
activities and employ most of the population.
- The population, in general, has all types of products and services within reach.
- It has a large number of public services, such as hospitals, schools, sewage,
potable water, electricity, and paved roads, among others.
- It has means of transportation and roads, which are usually modern.
- Housing, in general, is built with firm and durable materials such as cement, brick
and rebar.
- The average level of schooling of the population is high school.
- It is exposed to high levels of pollution.
- The cost of living is high.
- Its population is cosmopolitan.
- It has greater availability of technology, both for productive activities and for daily
life.
- Technology allows the urban population to have comforts at home, from a
blender, a gas or electric stove to a computer with internet access.
- The population often suffers from stress due to the fast pace of life.

So you can say that an urban environment is the space that is composed of a
larger number of inhabitants who develop economic activities such as industry,
commerce and services.
United Kingdom
- Rural areas
For the United Kingdom, rural areas are green fields, forests, regions requiring
special attention from the authorities
("sensitive zone", protected natural
areas).
In France, the Netherlands, Germany, the
United Kingdom, Belgium and Denmark,
living in the countryside reduces the
chances of social exclusion. These are all
countries that are perceived as mostly
wealthy (at least in macroeconomic
terms), but face what many experts
define as "the urban paradox": cities that generate a large part of a country's
wealth but are, at the same time, inaccessible to a large portion of their inhabitants.
- urban environment
- is sustainable
- They are highly advanced cities
- their culture has ancient roots that
combine and merge with the modernity
of their cosmopolitan cities.
Comparison
Rural areas
the houses in Mexico are made of materials such as adobe and brick, or in
extreme cases portfolio or cardboard, while in the United Kingdom the houses
are old with a rustic style, made mostly of stone and wood. on the other hand,
the economy of the countries is very contrasted, since Mexico is a third world
country while the United Kingdom is first world. The rural areas of Mexico live
mostly in poverty and the United Kingdom lately through various economic
innovation programs has been able to give a breakthrough in terms of
consumption and production opportunities.

The landscapes of the rural areas in both countries have a lot of vegetation and
places with a great attraction.
Urban environment
the comparison between them is enormous, since Mexico, although it is
advancing in technological and urban progress, still does not beat the United
Kingdom, which, being a country with a monarchy, has a larger economy and
urban areas to be admired, although Mexico is not far behind, since it has very
modern areas.
