Abstract : Nusantara is one of the areas that has been a stopover for traders between nations
for a long time. Evidenced by the entry of the Archipelago on the silk route and the many
evidences of products from other nations found by archaeologists, one of which is ceramics
originating from Muslim and Chinese traders. One of the major port cities on the island of Java,
namely Sunda Kalapa, the port became a trading center and even meetings between nations
which led to marriages to cultural acculturation. The area developed under Dutch control,
which was named Batavia before Jayakarta. Batavia remained the center of trade between
nations and even the center of government at that time, other nations kept arriving with the aim
of trading. Including traders from Gujarat, Hadramaut, and Arabia. They even created their
own settlement or village called Pekojan, Pekojan is still there today with the majority of the
village's people coming from the descendants of Gujarat Indian Muslims, Arabs and
Hadramauts. Their contribution to the Batavia area can be seen in its development where there
are many religious buildings such as mosques and one of the oldest is the Al-Anshor Mosque
which was built in 1648 AD. So how was their economic life so that they could build the
Islamic village until now, as well as their contribution to the development of other areas in
Batavia, and how they first entered Batavia. This writing will be made using historical research
