Copilot in Microsoft Teams Meetings
Copilot helps you run more effective meetings, get up to speed on the conversation, organize key discussion
points, and summarize key actions.

November 2023
Copilot for Whiteboard

44% of Teams meetings are purely conversational, with no

shared content or visuals. This works great for some, but with
over half of meeting participants self-reporting as visual
learners, there’s a communication gap to be bridged.

That’s why we’re introducing the ability to visualize your

meeting discussion with the combined power of Copilot in
Whiteboard and Copilot in Teams meetings. Copilot
converts spoken words into a highly visual whiteboard,
shared across all meeting participants. Copilot detects when
your conversation starts to sound like brainstorming and
prompts you to automatically generate a whiteboard, pre-
populated to bring your ideas to life.

November 2023
Copilot in Teams chat
Communication has never been easier, but keeping up with
the volume can feel overwhelming.

Copilot in Teams chat helps you focus on what's important

and reduces the work of staying on top and responding to
chats. You can extract key information from your chats.

New Copilot prompts to see decisions and open items,

which help you catch up easily on a long thread and to follow
up on messages quickly.

The new Copilot compose box in Teams chat can help you
express yourself better. As a writing assistant, Copilot can
rewrite messages, adjust the tone, or make your words more
concise.

November 2023
Copilot for Teams Channels

We’re excited to enable Copilot for all your communication

and collaboration needs in Teams by adding Copilot to
Teams channels.

Next time you have a long post in a channel to catch up on,

Copilot can help you quickly digest the information and get
up to speed. If a project decision is being discussed, you
can ask Copilot to make a table summarizing the proposed
solution, who supports or opposes it, and the advantages
and disadvantages of the solution – allowing you to get the
context you need within seconds.

November 2023
Copilot with Teams Phone

Sometimes you just need to get on a quick call to get

alignment.

Copilot in Teams Phone helps take care of the busy work

by capturing key points, task owners, and next steps, and
lets you focus on connecting and collaborating with your
co-workers and customers. You will also now be able to use
Copilot from the Calls app in Teams to conveniently get
insights from your previous calls. To use Copilot in calls, turn
on transcription.
