The 4 children are exploring the ‘dress-up area’. The facilitator is acting as an
observer.
A girl dresses up in a jacket and tie, whereas, a boy chooses to wear a
hairband paired with a purse and shirt.
The facilitator then models acceptance of the scenario by saying, “You look
beautiful”, “I love how you have tried to mix and match these clothing items
to look so amazing!”. The facilitator also takes pictures of the children in
these outfits to display in the program zone.

Scene 2:
It is time for hand wash after the role-play session.
Instead of using words like, ‘boys’, ‘girls’ or “If you’re a boy/girl, please line
up”, the facilitator says phrases like “friends” and “children”, or simply refers
to children by their names. The facilitator also uses requests like, “If you are
wearing stripes, please line up.” or “If you have polka dots on yourself, you
can follow me to the washroom.”
