Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), a well-recognised Indian engineering conglomerate
operating for more than 80 years, has been a long standing partner Naval Physical &
Oceanographic Laboratory over the years.
L&T is a diversified business group and carries out various businesses under different
verticals and brand identities. The Defence Business is currently being carried out by
Defence Engineering IC under the brand “L&T Defence”.
However, reflecting our vision to pursue opportunities in emerging deep tech sectors
like precision manufacturing & electronics systems in Defence and other areas we are
excited to announce a significant milestone in the journey of L&T Defence Engineering
Business as we officially change the name of the business vertical to “L&T Precision
Engineering & Systems” effective from 1st April 2024. We believe the new name
better represents the path we have chartered for this hi-tech business.
This rebranding does not in any way impact our commitment to deliver high-quality
products/services and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders, nor any
ongoing contracts and agreements with our valued customers.
The new brand name & logo will be as shown below:

The re-branded Business will still continue to be part of Larsen & Toubro Limited which
is the legal entity for all the different businesses of the Company. The following legal
information will remain the same even after the re-branding:
a) CIN Number.
b) GST Number.
c) Addresses of the various offices and production centres (except to reflect the
change of the brand).
d) Signature Authorisations.
e) Bank account details.
The new brand name of the Business will be reflected in the new stationery, invoices
etc., going forward.
We reiterate that since this is only re-branding of the Business and the legal entity
remains the same, L&T does not require any amendment of the current contracts,
agreements and purchase orders.
We request you to update your records to reflect the new brand name of L&T’s
Defence business. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us should you require any
further clarifications / inputs on this matter.
