Title :Grinder

Purpose : Grinding of gas turbine during incoming inspection, repair, and after
repair by means of milling, grinding and straightening.

Reports To : Shift Supervisor

Basic Functional Responsibilities :
1、Grinding of gas turbine during incoming inspection, repair, and after repair by
means of milling and grinding using machines and hand-held rotary tools, and
straightening using hydraulic tools.
2、Hand grinding/milling/straightening requires high skill levels and prudence. If
performed wrongly, grinding/milling can cause significant damage to parts in
repair.

Supervises : No supervising role.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
1、Disassembling and assembling parts if required;
2、Checking if required the right parts, fixtures and tools are available and in a
usable condition;
3、Machining, finishing and repairing damaged parts by means of grinding, belt
grinding, drilling, CNC milling, CNC EDM, straightening and pressing;
4、Profiling of cooling holes, and removal of remnant coating;
5、Performing measurements using test jigs and measuring equipment;
6、Maintain machines, tools and workplace, perform first-line maintenance, and
identify imminent equipment failure；
7、Reporting non-conformances to direct superior;
8、Performing effective self-control of quality;
9、Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
10、Manufacture and modify jig, fixture and tooling.

1、Supervisor;
2、Production engineers;
3、QC;
4、Fellow operators.
Qualification / Competence :
1、Secondary technical education (CNC Machinist)；
2、CNC milling machine programing, with at least 2 years CNC milling machine
and CNC EDM machine experience；
3、Having ambitions to be a good craftsman;
4、Ability to work effectively and follow instructions;
5、Ability to train new grinders;
6、Good knowledge of English language;
7、Good interpersonal skills;
8、Performing effective self-control of quality;
9、Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
