bringing smart and soft solutions to create a
streamlined and enlightened contemporary lifestyle.
Sustainability is the core of Lynn’s design and everyday
practice. She believes that the formal and technological
design solutions offered by nature can deeply resonate
with personal experiences, as well as organically re-
establish a sustainable product ecosystem. Range from
mass-manufactured consumer products to one-off
handmade collectibles, Lynn uses art and design as
media to promote authentic experiences, cultural
expressions, and social engagements.

Inspired by the captivating silhouette of Indonesia’s Rumah Gadang (Big House), the “Big
Wave” credenza emerges as a design fusion of the secular and the sacred, mirroring the
very essence of the ancestral dwelling it honors.

The Rumah Gadang, a shared haven for humble communities, embodies the spirit
of unity and support. Each family occupies a single room within the complex on a
rotation basis. In harmonious parallel, the credenza is compartmentalized into different
functional units of cupboards and drawers. The signature curve on the tip of the roof
becomes handle for the doors and drawers while seamlessly integrated into the overall
graphic composition.A symphony of symbolism courses through the Big Wave credenza,
a spirited hymn to communal resilience against the tides of climate change. Just as the
Rumah Gadang cherishes shared living, this opus venerates the collaborative effort this
project embodies.

Within Reborn Decor’s diverse palette of recycled plastic boards, Lin landed on the blue
and silver reflective materials that represent a serene oceanscape under the gleaming sun.
Big Wave credenza beckons the serenity of nature into the heart of the home, creating a
sanctuary for relaxation while passionately rekindling our commitment to safeguard the
precious ocean ecosystems upon which we depend.
