My name is Annie and this is what I normally do. I love to walk on the mountain.

During the week I wake up early and go for a small walk on the mountain. I usually go with

my father or my brother. We like to get some fresh air before we start our day. We

live in the country far away from the city. We think that our country life is wonderful

because we are away from the noise and pollution of the city. We often walk for about

one-half hour and then return to our home. I always take my bus after our walk and

at about 8:30 a.m. and arrive at at school at 9:00 a.m.My father takes his car and goes

to town to work. He works at a veterinary clinic. He is a vet and loves to help animals.

We have 3 dogs and two cats.

On the weekend we wake up early and go for a hike on the mountain. It is so nice to smell

the fresh air and see the wild animals. We stay there for about three hours and bring our

lunch with us. As you can see my family loves nature.

A Trip to England

Sara and Danny are from Spain. They go to England
for two weeks. They go in June and stay in a college
with other students in Cambridge. It’s really exciting
because they meet students of different
nationalities. They speak English every day. In the
morning they study English with the other students.
In the afternoon they visit different places or play
different sports at the college. They like sports! In
the evening they are tired so they sometimes watch
TV or play board
games. The best days are Saturday and Sunday because they travel to London.
The city is very big and they visit all the monuments like Big Ben, The London
Eye and Buckingham Palace. They like everything in the city, but their favourite
things are the museums, especially Madam Tussauds.
They also like parks because they can see squirrels and swans. They love
animals! At the end of the two weeks, they are sad to return home.

Last•summer, Joel and Sara travelled to England for two weeks. They

travelled in August and stayed in a college with other students in

Brighton, the South of England. It was really fantastic because they talked
to a lot of students of different nationalities and learned a lot about other

cultures and customs. Of course, they learned a lot of English too because
they•practiced it every day. In the morning they studied a little, they asked

the teacher to speak slowly when necessary and answered her questions.
In the afternoon they visited different places or played different sports at

with•their new friends and played or chatted. In the evening they were

Queen but they didn’t see her, only her guards!
They liked everything in the city but their favourite thing was the

At the end of the two weeks, they were sad to return home. The holidays
were fun and different from usual. They cried a little when they waved
goodbye to their new friends and promised to write or send emails when
they arrived home.

1 My favourite film is “Lord of the Rings”.

I read the books and really love them. They are so exciting and easy to read. When I went to see the film I
2 was surprised. The characters were as I imagined them- especially Gollum- and the special effects were
amazing. “Lord of the Rings” has everything: romance, adventure, action and mystery too. It’s brilliant!

The acting was fantastic. Liv Tyler and Orlando Bloom are two of my favourite actors. There were lots of

other actors, but I can’t remember all their names.

It’s a story about the search for a magic ring and it’s full of adventure and action. I have the DVD too so I

4 often watch it at home.

5 The ending is very exciting but I can’t tell you what happens… watch the film and find out!
