• The communication that includes oral, written, digital and
visual discipline within a work place context is called
professional communication.
• There are many places where we strictly need professionalism
like while finding a job, dealing customers, and doing business
etc.
How to develop a communication skill:

• To develop a communication skill is not an easy task. We have

to learn about so many components and they are speaking,
writing, listening, reading, appearance, voice, body language,
and gestures etc.
Characteristics of professional communications:
• There are many characteristics of professional communication.
• For example if two persons have same codification but there is
one who got the job. WHY? Because the person who got the
job has more communication skills then other, he can
communicate with the managers more effectively the other.
Types of Profession
Communications:
There are two types of communications:
1) Verbal communication
2) Non-verbal communication
Professional Communication is inclusive of many areas

• The field of professional communication is closely related to that of technical

communication, though professional communication encompasses a wider
variety of skills. Professional communicators use strategies, theories, and
technologies to more effectively communicate in the business world:

• Communication Studies

• Speech Communication
• Technical Communication
• World Languages and Cultures
• Professional means having great skills or experience in a
particular field or activity or having an assured competence in a
particular field or occupation, and behaving in a way that helps
make money.
• Communication is to make known impact, to transmit, to
have interchange, as a thought or idea, to be connected or form
a connecting thought, the exchange of thoughts, messages or the
like, as by speech, signals or writing.
In a simple way, communications can be broken down to 2 parts
• OUTPUT = sending, speaking, using words, tone, tempo, etc.
to deliver the meaning. Body language is presented e.g. posture,
smiles, controls.
• INPUT = receiving, listening, observing body language.
Remember to „actively‟ listen, use empathy and intuition, and
predict responses, for example the DAWA response to critical
feedback.
What do we mean by “3V communications”?

• Experts say that communication is 7% Verbal (our words

and phrases).
• 38% Vocal (our stress, intonation, rhythm, delivery etc).
• 55% Visual (body language). So 93% of our communication
is non-verbal
• This “3V effect” equals a 4th V – Vibe. When there is
synchronicity and harmony, the result is better confidence,
better communication, and better rapport
