PROJECT GUIDELINE

1st Mid-term test: A project-based test

Timing: During the 10 sessions
Evaluation: Rubric provided (accounting for 15% of the total scoring)

Students are assigned to work in groups of six. To start, each group chooses 2 topics of interest
or suggested by the teacher (Topics: Money spending, Leisure activities, Means of
transportation, Traffic jam, Clothes, Daily life, Education, Entertainment and media,
Environment, Food and drink, Health-medicine and exercise, House and home, Language,
People, Personal feelings, experiences and opinions, Places and buildings, Relations with other
people, Services, Shopping, Social interaction, Sports, The natural world, Transport, Travel and
holidays, Weather...). Each group member is responsible for reading as many articles as possible
from various sources (printed journals, magazines, newspapers, books, and electronic tools...) in
order to pick up articles on the chosen topics, synthesize and finally develop them into a reading
portfolio.

- Voted group leaders are in charge of holding discussions, recording project progress and group
members' participation in detail, and making a final report to their teacher. The degree of
individual involvement in the task will therefore be marked by the teacher and group members.
The project package must be submitted by the 10th session, including:
 A group work schedule (task division, timeline)
 Meeting minutes
 A group work report* (reasons for your grouping, outcome, efficiency, achievement,
contribution of each member)
 Reading Portfolio
Note: Bản báo cáo (a group work report) sẽ có thông tin nhóm chấm điểm tham gia của các
thành viên và được sự đồng ý bằng việc ký nhận của các thành viên trong nhóm. Điểm project
là điểm trung bình của nhóm chấm và điểm của giáo viên chấm.

REQUIREMENT FOR A PORTFOLIO

- 5 articles (around 600 – 700 words at B1 level) on 2 chosen topics
 1st article: Multiple choice (10 questions with provided answers) + Vocabulary: 10 new
words/ phrases with meaning and a related example
 2nd article: Q&A (10 questions with provided answers) + Vocabulary: 10 new words/ phrases
with meaning and a related example
 3rd article: T/F (10 questions with provided answers) + Vocabulary: 10 new words/ phrases
with meaning and a related example
 4th article: Matching (10 questions with provided answers) + Vocabulary: 10 new words/
phrases with meaning and a related example
 5th article: Summarizing (about 100 words) + Vocabulary: 10 new words/ phrases with
meaning and a related example

E12:
- Sinh viên cần cung cấp tên của từng thành viên trong video
- Yêu cầu sinh viên nộp scripts (bài nói)
- Khi quay video đảm bảo âm lượng và góc quay đủ rộng để đảm bảo sinh viên k sử
dụng tài liệu hoặc laptop để đọc, không quay trên zoom (giáo viên chấm lưu ý sinh
viên lồng tiếng)
E3:
- Sinh viên nộp các bài đọc kèm nguồn, giáo viên có thể rà soát việc sinh viên lấy sẵn
các bài đọc trong các test đã thiết kế các dạng bài đi kèm.
E123:
- Toàn bộ báo cáo viết bằng T. Anh và nộp bản mềm về email của giáo viên ngoài
bản cứng.
- Giáo viên chấm sản phẩm của từng group và cho điểm theo nhóm. Sau đó yêu cầu
sinh viên chia điểm đó cho các thành viên trong nhóm, dựa vào mức độ đóng góp
và hiệu quả làm việc.
