Above the picture is a darkened boat and a
man trying to steer the boat through big
waves. Below is a picture of a rushing red
stream of water. The author uses Silhouette
drawing to outline the image of rolling
waves with deep orange-red and white tones.
Contrasted with it is the image of a lone boat
outlined in black and gray. Looking at the
picture, we can see the white waves crashing
against the side of the boat as if to swallow
and drown the boat in the ocean. If you look
closely, one hand of the man is steering the
boat and the other is trying to hold on to a
nearby pole to keep his balance to avoid
falling off the boat. The picture is covered
with a gloomy and dead atmosphere. There's
only one way to get over it or you'll be
engulfed by it. We can see it is the battle
between man and nature, the battle of a lone man and the vast ocean. You can be the
survivor at the end of the road or join the sea of blood like other losers. Although only
with a simple setting and a few quotes, we still understand the hardships that the author
goes through, it is a battle for life with many dangers lurking. And it can be foreseen that
with nature, human beings are so small but also very resilient because they dare to
confront and do not give in. The picture depicts many truths depending on the perspective
of each person. They may find the picture scary because of the image of the waves they
waver and are sad for those who have to go through it. And there are people who feel
admiration because the character has enough will and spirit to overcome the difficulties
of life or think that the painting wants to record the victory of the winner of fate. Thereby
we better understand what the insiders have to go through based on the images appearing
in the picture.
